Hahaha yeah a lot of people forget that it is actually quite warm in Vancouver during winter. Anything below -7 is unusual around here.

I've only been to Calgary once and it was during summer so it was pretty hot. I don't know how you guys deal with -30. I remember back in 2010 we had something around -17 and everybody seemed to be freezing and making excuses not to go outside.

Its been -50 some days here. Plus friggen windy. Here we just gotta tough it out. They don't close anything until its -45ish even then if you can get to work you're still open. I hate winter....

I love winter but I can definitely see why you hate it. Winter around here is just rainy and windy so it's not too bad. Are the bus stops heated in Calgary? I can't imagine waiting for the bus when it's -30 outside.

Its not even the cold that bothers me the most. Its the people. Everyone's grumpy and even the slightest hint of snow fall makes everyone bad drivers. You would think loving here you would get used to driving in the snow but no. Everyone just dumbs down when snow hits. The amount of car crashes in the winter is insane. Most of our bus stops are out in the open and 3 out of like 20 ctrain stations are heated.

I guess Vancouver and Calgary are not that different after all. Here drivers start crashing as soon as we have a bit of hail. It's crazy. Winter seems to be bad driving season.
Calgary weather seems a bit crazy, you guys get a crazy winter and then you get those flash floods. Though I'm jealous that you guys don't have provincial sales tax, that's pretty sweet.

Yea there's ups and downs. Bad drivers are a common thing here even when its not winter as well. Almost got hit today haha. Yea that flood sucked and our zoo was right in the middle of it all. Animals are still dying from the stress. The clean up was pretty quick though.
