You see, I haven't played Warhammer and know practically nothing about it, but I'm a bit bored:
On that planet, there were a total of 4,92*10^91 guardsmen. That is a ******* .
I have no clue how much the average guardsman weighs and I didn't bother to read through hundreds of pages on the Warhammer-Wiki, but I read that a lasgun weighs about 2,3 kg. On pretty much all pics of these guys that I found, the guardsmen only wore "normal" clothing, a chestplate with some armour on the shoulders and a helmet.
They were no bulking masses of genetically engineered supersoldiers that eat for breakfast what Mr. Wealthy Pianoman eats for a week either, so I'm just gonna assume that your average guardsman is a pretty normal dude who is in a rather /fit shape and wears a bit of armour, which makes me put their weight at 100kg.
4,92*10^91 guardsmen with a weight of 100kg each gives these guys a total weight of 4,92*10^93 kg.
Some findings suggest that the mass of "S5 0014+81" is overestimated, but if the calculations are correct, it is the most massive black hole known to man. On wikipedia, its weight is listed as that of 40 billion suns, or, in other words, 4*10^10 suns.
The sun has a mass of about 2*10^30 kg, so S5 0014+81 weighs about 8*10^40 kg.
Thus, the guardsmen on Schindelgheist IV weigh as much as 6,15*10^52 "S5 0014+81"s would.
Depending on which source you look at, there are about 10^22 stars in the universe.
Take as many identical universes as there are stars in our universe, give all stars a planet and put 615 million people on every planet and imagine that everyone of these guys weighs as much as the most massive black hole known to man.
OP Complains how Space marines can't land on enemies. The highlighted post shows that the space marines are **** out of luck against the imperial guardsmen, because they have a planet so populated by imperial guardsmen, that there are fewer particles in the known universe than there are guardsmen.
That is four hundred ninety-one octovigintillion, eight hundred fifty-eight septenvigintillion, eight hundred two sexvigintillion, six hundred ninety-five quinvigintillion, six hundred sixty-five quattuorvigintillion, seven hundred fifty trevigintillion guardsmen. I think they could use some more.
>alright men an enemy ship has appeared from the warp near out planet, all available forces in the time zone of 6 p.m please start firing directly into the sky.
"At the point in time when bullets can pass through the interdimensional walls. When firepower takes up the entirety and eternity of space and time, all being stuck in a neverending life and death cycle as bullets recover and destroy their bodies in quick succession. No one is able to think about anything but the sheer force of the bullets rapidly flying literally everywhere in the materium turning the warp itself into nothing but a sea of semi-automatic weaponry.. Then there will be enough dakka. Or, at least almost." -The God Emperor of Mankind, If the Emperor had a Text to Speech Device, Episode 12.5[1]
Considering that going by the wiki, average guardsman lives for 14 seconds on the battlefield, so someone living that long may as well be a distinguished hero
and then you play Space Marine where they somehow managed to survive like a ******* week against an Ork horde, was still cool as **** and Mira was badass
He was also captain of the second company, which makes you think.
What the hell happend to Cato Sicarius, did he die or did he *shudder* replace papa smurf?
idk I dont really follow the actual escapades of the smurfs
but the thing about SM was
Everyone loves to bash on leandross, and they're right he's a total ******* weed and a snitch and an all round wet blanket of a battle brother
But he's not wrong
You DONT get to just fist fight a daemon prince, kill the ****** , and rupture a warp-artifact you've been carrying around and unwittingly delivered to a chaos champion (something something unseen manipulations) who himself notes your connection to the warp, you dont just crack that sumbitc in your bare (armoured) hands, blow up an entire spire, and come out of it with just "ooh my ribs hurt a bit"
****** is tainted alright
wether he knows it or not
The smurfs are all mary sues, so it kinda is chapter tactics to pull **** like this.
Either that or his a blank (somehow), the game was ******* awesome though.
they might be painted as such (thanks Ward)
But they don't have to be
personally I like to think THQ were being rather clever
And maybe even, the little spat at the end was a quiet little jab by someone in the writing staff at Ward's fanatical and obscene love for them
Neither, Space Marine isn't cannon in the 40k world. so Cato is still captain of the 2nd company. Everything that happened in Space Marine didn't happen in 40k lore
While an official statement made on Relic's official Space Marine forum (now defunct) states that this game takes place in an alternate timeline to avoid questions of the canonical nature of the game's events and characters, it is not irreconcilable if the possibility that the Space Marine game takes place further into the future, after either Cato Sicarius has been slain, reassigned to another Ultramarines Company, or ascended to the position of Chapter Master.
Well since they don't name the Chapter Master we don't know when it takes place in the timeline which means it could take place later on. I am actually a smurfs man myself but 4th company. 120 men strong and proud.
>be me
>be loyal soldier of The Death Corps of Krieg
>be trained to be a killing machine
>no emotions, no mercy
>ive spent my entire life training and now i finally get to kill xenos and die a warrior
>this bitch puts a flower in my face and says
>LOL! peace xD <3
mfw
Well the imperial guard is kind of like ww2 style of an army but with laser, massive numbers of soldiers en massed firing with tanks, the space marines (same faction) are the super elite units. They got power armor their genetically enhanced and have high tech. Cadia is like the us in ww2, there are some factions that are nazi like (Death Korps of Krieg) and russian like (Vostroyan Firstborn) English like (Praetorian Guard). Then there are the catachan jungle fighters ( 1d4chan.org/wiki/Catachan_Jungle_Fighters )
