or you could be a proper parent and teach your kids right from wrong

Kids, like household pets, often destroy things without realizing why it's wrong.

not necessarily, kid in that pic didnt look younger than 4 yrs old, and by that stage you should have developed a certain knowledge of right and wrong. unless ofcourse the parents didnt give a ****

I mean he also may not realize what he's doing is destroying the TV. Kids rarely destroy things for the sake of destroying them, until they reach the age of reason and come up with personal reasons to wreck stuff. That's when they definitely know they're doing wrong.

a 4 year old should already ******* understand that they don't do stuff like that. I've never seen any kid in my family be that destructive by the age of 4 or 5.

And that's what the parents are the for. To teach them it's wrong through punishment.

Right, but he's probably never touched the TV before then, the parents should have taken the initiative to explain to him that it's a delicate electronic device and to not touch it, but there's no way they really could have known.

And you really believe that? I doubt anyone would not tell them to not touch. The kid deserves to be punished whether he knew or not. Those type of new-age views on how to educate kids just teach the parent how to raise a bad human.

I didn't say he shouldn't be punished, way to put words in my mouth jackass.

The way you're writing is insinuating that the kid shouldn't be punished because he didn't know what he was doing. Like you I expressed an opinion.

I'm always in favor for teaching kids the hard reality of life. In real life, if you **** up someone's stuff, even on accident, there's gonna be hell to pay.

yeah I get what you mean. then again I remember when i was about 4 and a half yrs old (coz thats when i was about to start primary here in aus), if i was to do something such as that to a tv and not realise it was doing some sort of harm in any way, id probably have to be retarded.

Very true, although you don't know what was going through his mind. Maybe he thought it would come off.

hah well I dont want to sound like a dick but I think its pretty clear that the newer gen of kids are somewhat less intelligent.. be it bad parenting or just genetics, since we live in an age of accessing everything online, the brain doesnt have the same need to work.
User avatar #99 to #98 - desuforeverlulz (11/05/2013) [-]
No I totally agree, I think a big cause of that is how parents overstimulate their kids with anything but human interaction.
User avatar #100 to #99 - ilikebuttsex (11/05/2013) [-]
yeah, I see so many young kids just at home with their expensive tablets and whatnots, heck even my own younger brother does the same **** and hes 13, when a real human friend comes over they just act all awkward and just play on their ipads in the same room. its just socially degrading.

It's just embarrassing to witness, and it gives rise to generations of idiots like these. If you're going to be mentally isolated, you might as well just stay at home.
