I think there used to be a height requirement, but they abolished it because somebody started screaming "discrimination". Which is kinda true, although now you have 5'3 manlets with a size complex walking around with a gun just wishing somebody would question their "authority" so they can shoot someone. It's pretty ****** up.
listen, not to devalue your subjective experience, but you can't just blanket ban women from the force just because you've had bad experiences with women. Like I said below. Set a criteria for all personnel, and if you fail to meet those criteria then you get removed.
Well let me put it this way for you. The PT test to become an officer is mostly running, you don't have to be strong. When you go to arrest a 200 lb man with a prison body made of pure muscle do you want a 100 lb woman backing you up, or another 200 lb man?
Police officers shouldn't be matching muscle with a 200 lbs prison thug, that is why they carry guns and tasers. A woman that is 5'0 and 100 lbs can be just as deadly with a gun as any man.
They should but even then, woman are going to lose muscle a lot faster than men do and you only have to take the PT test once. And they wont change it to where you have to take it regularly because then they'd lose half their senior officers.
but what if she's super butch. I figure there's a spectrum. Have a criteria and allow both genders equal opportunity to satisfy the criteria. Those unfit will not be accepted. Saying NO WOMEN ALLOWED is just dumb.
