I'm planning on moving to portland or oregon when I get older, is it bad?

I've been living in Portland since birth. Here are some pros and cons

Pros:
-Most strip clubs in NW per citizen
-Best beers are brewed right here in town at privately established brewery's
-Just had our 10th bridge over the Willamette River and 5th Trimet Max train line opened (seriously we have buses and trains everywhere)
-Saturday market sells hand-made merchandise
-Food carts everywhere!
-Lots of people ride bikes and there are many bike lanes
-Marijuana stores popping up like crazy recently (I dont smoke personally)
-Plenty of hiking areas, rec centers and parks to be at

Cons
-Shootings occur pretty often (You'd be surprised, not like LA but still)
-Illegal to pump your own gas (one of few states with this stupid law)
-Cops are literally everywhere so watch your driving
-There seems to be some sort of construction on some street at all times
-Rental rates just skyrocketed from $700 (2007) to $1300 (2014)
-Rush hour SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you ever make it to Portland maybe you and I could have a beer (if you are of age). I know plenty of good places to eat. Here are a few suggestions

-Hotcake House (Open 24/7)
-Angry Unicorn
-Voodoo Donuts
-Portland City Grill
-Ruth's Chris Steak House
-Shut up and Eat (yeah sounds silly but awesome food)

That's all for now!

I feel like every person that can play the bagpipes can ride a unicycle....guess they figured "well already dug myself into a forever virgin hole minus well see whats at the bottom"

You realise that Scotland is a place, right?
User avatar #19 to #18 - thesupervillian (12/03/2015) [-]
Want kind of bagpipers do you see? All the ones i've ever seen are part of a family and held closely to events regarding firefighters.
User avatar #20 to #19 - slenderguy (12/03/2015) [-]
I live in nova scotia and we have a thing called the busker festival. There is atleast 3 people you well see playing bagpipes while on a unicycle every time you go to it.....
User avatar #22 to #20 - gawainanain (12/03/2015) [-]
I live in actual Scotland, our pipers are boring and only play traditional songs. No one tries anything like this because everyone is sick of bagpipes.
#51 to #22 - jormungandr (12/04/2015) [-]
I used to play bagpipes in the North Lanarkshire band. I ******* hate bagpipes.

Nothing is worse than standing tuning your drones in the most echo-y room they could supply you. Are they in tune? **** knows, man, I can't hear myself for ******* hearing myself.

That alongside the "Play 'Song X'!" requests from anybody nearby. No. I can't. Bagpipes have a ***** range, we can't play **** unless it was written for the ****** things or it sounds like someone trying to play it by dragging their hands down a window until the squeaks are in key.

Felt like a rant. Cheers for being available to be ranted at.

every time I comment on fj I'm afraid of being destroyed by SJW's for being somewhere they disapprove of or having an opinion that allies myself against them through some unpredictable, tenuous, and opaque logic.

You aren't serious, right?

Hey.
You.

Your concept would be funnier if you weren't obsessed with SJWs.

That instrument makes it sound 100 times more creepy and haunting than the original.
User avatar #28 to #14 - ljxjlos (12/03/2015) [-]
Pretty much every stringed instrument besides the guitar gets creepy as **** in certain songs.

There are some awesome country bands out there sounding like incredibly creepy horror-soundtracks because of that.

What instrument is he using above?
#40 to #32 - antoniospaghettio (12/04/2015) [-]
