elcreepo ONLINE (11/09/2015) [-] Yeah but nobody in our ****** up goverment ever had the time to sit down and say "hmm, maybe we need stricter rules for crosswalks" no, California's either on fire or drowning or both, Florida is slowly devouring its own industry, Texas keeps trying to separate, there's riots in the south, immigrants are people but also not people, and EVERYONE needs money and someone has to decide who gets how much.
Just on the roads specifically there are arguments in regards to speed limits, various types of intersections, and which roads save while others fall apart.
Nobody in any level of goverment is thinking about pedestrians in the crosswalks. If they're there, a car is not permitted to move forward.
Although in NYC, Boston, DC and various other large cities if the light turns green and you're still paused to tie a shoelace or something you're gonna get hit and nobody bats an eyelash.
