Then you get charged with causing public panic and im not entirely sure but it may be a federal crime which lands you with a big prison sentence. So yeah have fun with saying ITS JUST A PRANK BRO CHILL
Yeah it's like calling a bomb threat on a school or something. You didn't do anything wrong physically, but you wasted a lot of resources and caused a massed panic.
A person commits an assault if he does an act by which he intentionally or recklessly causes another person to apprehend immediate unlawful violence. Apprehension is the key here. Clearly the defendant apprehends the immediate explosion of the bag, which constitutes unlawful violence, and therefore the crime is committed.
nb this is often confused with battery, which is the actual application of unlawful force.
You lift a fist at a football game to boo someone and, Bam, assault charge because your fist looked imposing and dangerous.
Yup Sounds like a full load of ******* cockamamie ******** to me. Political Correctness and the Softness dictates of the world need to ease their panty-rustled rules a great deal.
Maybe if you'd actually interpret the law rather than let your feelings and preconceived notions get the better of you then you'd realize that your example comes nothing close to how the law defines assault.
If you go up to someone and do a fake-out punch You know, make it look like you're going to hit them but you stop your hand short. , that'd be assault according to this law.
A punch that isn't made to land by any intention isn't an actuation of damage, or the intent of damage. Again. **** law. If I tell you I'm going to burn your house down, that's a threat, which is plausible evidence in law. If I come near your house suggestively shaking a gas can empty or full, and rolling a lighter with no flint in it, it would constitute nothing but incompetence in using lighters and a capability to carry gas cans. To bias against intent without act is to start some Minority Report type **** . Which again, is ******** as far as law goes.
**anonymous used "*roll picture*"** **anonymous rolled image**I understand that the guy in the first one was panicking, but he should of just ran forward as he would of moved further away from the bag.
From how the bag is sitting, it seems to have a lot more area in front of it, pointing away from the escalator. Him going up kept more of the escalator between him and the bag. I doubt he thought of all this at the time, but that's what happened.
However, If he did have some time to haul ass and he could hoof it to the top quick enough, I think it would have been a better position as shrapnel's a bitch and goes anywhere and everywhere.
depends on when it was going to explode. If it exploded immediately after it hit the ground then the guy made the right move because all he did was turn around so the shrapnel and explosives are hitting him from behind rather than in front.
If it exploded 1-2 seconds after it hit the ground then he made the right move because if he moved forward he would've just been closer to it.
any longer than that though and yeah he probably would've gotten more distance going forward, however it should also be considered that shrapnel moves considerabley further forward than it does upwards plus to some extent the shape of the escalator would've cupped the explosion a bit so less blast would've gone up to where he ran to than forward so in total I'd say the explosion would've had to have been slightly larger than normal and taken about 5 seconds after impact for running forward to have been the best bet.
if somebody ******* throws an explosive at you I'd say it's pretty safe to assume you only have a few seconds he made the right call to create as much distance from the bag in the absolute smallest amount of time
it's funny to see over the internet
but that's really ******* stupid and in poor taste
it may be funnier than your typical "it's a prank bro" situation
but that's still not okay
They most likely would not act same. But since so many Muslis terrorist bomb, you would think this person is doing the same. Not everything is racists.
That's like saying so many white adolescent males shoot up schools. Do a higher percentage than other demographics do that? No, but that still doesn't mean every white kid is gonna shoot up a school and therefore every white kid with a BB gun is dangerous and should be shot on sight.
And with the non-muslim appearance of the boston marathon bombers who made Americans so afraid of Muslims with backpacks...
Hm. Now I'm genuinely curious. Will people run if it looks Muslim, or if it's a guy who seems panicked throwing a backpack at them?
No I mean the comment was just taking what's in the title. If the title was something completely different and comment 2 was posted then it would be good. The comment is just repeating the title, so why has it got so many thumbs?
Call me edgy, but the people who film these need their ******* knee caps blown off by an 8 gauge. Tensions are already high enough without faggots like this causing panic and fear for the sake of a laugh.
One of these days there'll be a big news story about a guy who got shot to death while screaming "IT'S A PRANK BRO". I wouldn't be surprised if it has already happened either.
I just want to point out that in the united states, doing this will land you 25 years to life in prison. America doesn't **** around when it comes to bomb threats, even if they are pranks.
apparently he isnt being charged, so he must have been well within the law to be carrying, guns arnt completely gone from our country, the guy was probably an offduty cop or a security guard, or something to that effect. either way, dickhole needed to be shot anyway
Now, I don't carry a gun. It's just too much responsibility for me to deal with on a regular basis, and it just so happens that where I live has pretty low crime rates. BUT... my old man does, and I just can't see this ending well for anyone that does it to him. He's broken down in just about every place that you can be and he physically can't run away if anything goes down. It's not a "My dad is better than your dad" kind of thing, it's just that he's old broken, grumpy and just about ready to die.
I mean, I've got one, I just can't be bothered to carry it when just about everyone else around me is carrying one. We have something like 40% of the people in town carrying a gun according to some survey our newspaper did.
