could you lend me a link to any source at all to one of these pieces? I started searching for it on google, but I have no idea how to put it into search words.

You need to login to view this link here you are good sir, also they are apparently called Anamorphic Sculptures.

Anamorphic eh?
User avatar #60 to #24 - danaldick (09/28/2013) [-]
it's a sculpture that can be seen using a cylindrical mirror, so I would try "cylindrical mirror sculptures"

Yeah, if you look at it sideways you can see it.

I just read "for the longest time" and doubted. How the heck long is that meant to be

If you have too much time and you spend it doing one thing, you get too good at it.

Wait a minute.

What asshole painted this and never told anyone to put the metal bar there?

While painting he was looking at the metal bar instead of the sheet of paper
User avatar #31 to #28 - luthervonappledorf (09/28/2013) [-]
That still seems crazy to me. You'd have to know exactly what it's going to look like on paper to begin to do it.

Either that or just trial and error.

You can clearly make out the face... and if the artist was truly famous I'm sure people would've noticed. Cool painting nonetheless.

The type of painting is called anamorphosis, if anyone wants to know

who the hell walks up to a painting and just decides to put a reflective metal bar on it and see if it makes an image? that bastard knew what he was doing when he set that bar down

There are people out there who can't paint amazing things like this just with the power of their mind and the talent they possess..... and then there's me....

I will say this, I've been struggling with depression for a few years now, and I have to say, the loneliest I have ever felt is when I make myself lonely. I live with three other people who aren't family, and I have to say there are still times when I feel alone in this house, in this small chunk of rock of ours, but I think the feeling of loneliness comes from not accepting who you are, I think loneliness comes from self-rejection. I'll go on mini-vacations between workdays and go to Japantown, or the Exploritorium in San Francisco or to the zoo in Oakland and while I'm there I don't feel lonely. It's perfectly possible to make yourself not lonely by having fun by yourself, just break the monotonous cycle of video games or internet, or whatever it is you are doing at the times you feel the loneliest and go out and do something.

True, but that's mainly because it's still in exposition land. I have a feeling that once Torchwick makes some sort of move, things will pick up very quickly.
