Allow me to explain! I have Norwegian relatives, and every year, sometime in May I think, they celebrate their national day or is it independence? Well whatever. They walk in marches, sing nationalistic hymns and stuff their faces with cheap popsicles and wieners. They also wear horrendous dresses and act friendly towards each other. Can any Norwegians back up these facts?
captnnorway?
>>#43, true. It's both our national day and our independence day. Generally it's marching bands in front, then children and russ who walk in the parade. The biggest train goes through Oslo city center and up towards the castle where the king and his familiy is standing. Throughout the city there's all sorts of festivities though, it's not only the parade. The outfits are also horrible, classic national clothes usually are. Nowadays, a lot of people were dresses or suits though.
The russ is our high school graduates who have for 2-3 weeks before 17 mai been constantly drunk. A lot of them come together and build busses they drive around in. 17 mai is the last day of celebration, so obviously they are even more smashed than usual. Exams starts around the 18th of mai though, which isn't exactly ideal.
There's no army involved, but parts of the kings guard partake in the march as musicians.
Also if you don't eat at least 5 ice creams and 5 hot dogs, you're doing it wrong.
as far as I've seen it they usually put it in the end of something a bit misplaced. When someone thinks he's being cool while it's actually quite stupid.
Even though the violist here was just being creative with the given situation. That might be why it was annoying to us both
pretty good. i can play twinkle twinkle little star at virtuoso level.
other than that i learned not to add too much rosin, cause i practically coated my bow with it every time i used it.
im having some trouble bowing the right string to be honest e sometimes hits a, which sometimes hits d, which sometimes hits g.
also can you explain to me how to play the part in the picture? what bow and finger movements do i use?
sorry if im going a little overboard, im teaching myself through youtube videos, so having someone to ask is really nice.
I used to play the violin throughout grade school. Just a tip: start learning how to do vibrato early. The longer you play without vibrato, the harder it is for it to become a habit.
I'd be very happy to help you learn. However I'm really bad at making myself understood through text. If you're up for it I'll let you add me on skype and i can try to help you orally
Fair enough man, I can't really hold that against you. but the first note is on the A string, second is D string, third finger. Third note is the same as the first and the last is A string with first finger.
