Wtf, how did the court case go? Are the judges corrupt or some **** to just take her word for it, seeing as she's a woman? I feel sorry for the guy, wasting 5 years of his life for ****

Some people just need to be shot right in their face hole. My god Im being edgy but He just lost 5 years of his life being institutionalized while that cunt lived the good life. the only thing that was raped was that poor man's reputation. I would ******* rape her for real at gunpoint and laugh when no one believed her.

The title is not accurate. Justice was not fully served; all that happened is that she has to pay a big fine. This isn't to say it isn't a step in the right direction, but it doesn't say that Brian will be getting any money or compensation.
User avatar #177 to #91 - armwulf (08/30/2014) [-]
Consider this-
She was given 750,000 dollars
She has to pay a total of 2.6 Million dollars.
She's now roughly 2 Million dollars in debt.
For the rest of her life she will be paying fees, she will likely never receive any further higher education, and anyone with whom she marries will inherit her debt as well.
Her entire life is now forfeit, she will never be able to progress properly or enjoy the results of her work.
Any children she has may also inherit her debts.
User avatar #179 to #177 - instalation (08/30/2014) [-]
Yeah, I know it ****** her life over. But what about Brian? He deserves some compensation.

Also I don't know what backwards country you live in, but in the U.S. children don't inherit debts.
User avatar #180 to #179 - armwulf (08/30/2014) [-]
The man is free, and the publicity likely helped him push towards his dream. I'd like to see a ******* of that money go to him, and he's likely going to be compensated for lost wages. I assume he had a job before prison, all the wages he would have earned would be her responsibility to pay him.
User avatar #181 to #180 - instalation (08/30/2014) [-]
He was 16 when he was jailed. The story pisses me off to no end though. He didn't make a plea since his lawyer said it'd be the best move for a lesser sentence. She sent him a message telling him that if it was a black jury that no one would believe him.

somehow i think that raping someone is a little more serious than lying to the police
User avatar #102 to #81 - incognitoad (08/29/2014) [-]
While I agree with you, it's more than just lying to the police. Once someone makes a claim like this people judge immediately, friends and family may have turned their backs on him and other people will have abused him. And yes, they will be wrong and some might even apologise, but the fact still remains that they chose to side with a woman that isn't their friend or family member. He may have even been fired over it. So his life could have fallen apart completely.
I do agree that she shouldn't have gotten the same sentence but, I do think that she may have destroyed someone's life.
User avatar #112 to #81 - dieterkaiser ONLINE (08/29/2014) [-]
Not about rape it isn't. If 1/5 women lied about being raped and that information got out, I know I damn sure wouldn't believe any woman ever that she said she got raped. It's like your little boy who yelled wolf. Women lying about being raped make people not believe ACTUAL rape victims. They should get a more severe sentence than rapists if anything.
#109 to #81 - vikingesnumerouno (08/29/2014) [-]
yeah but you are seeing this from the wrong perspective
let's say the court believed her
the guys life would have been ruined, all because of this lying ******* cunt that would disregard that fact for her own gains

In one way they can't be compared, but
- Rape = scarred for life
- Be accused of rape without being believed (while being innocent) = scarred for life

Like the guy above me said - People will most likely have treated him like **** for "being a rapist," losing friends, family turning their backs, losing his job, maybe even getting physically hurt by someone

oh please. she shouldnt become a registered sex offender for lying.
User avatar #9 to #6 - kiaserzerg (08/29/2014) [-]
and so the man should?
User avatar #27 to #9 - heroicdose (08/29/2014) [-]
well personally im very hesitant to say there should even be such a registry, but it has more to do with my views on politics/government than my views on sex offenders. so no, i dont really think anybody should ever.

however, yeah. in our current system if hes convicted of the crime theres no reason for him not to be registered. obviously she shouldnt be making false allegations which is the real issue, but that doesnt mean she should be labeled something nobody is claiming she is for life.

eye for an eye rarely, if ever, makes sense logically. its mostly to appease emotions of those who feel wronged by another.
User avatar #52 to #27 - smallest (08/29/2014) [-]
I feel you are right about her not being registered as a sex offender because her crimes have nothing to do with sex and more about lying in court. That being said the time she is spending in jail is pretty short considering the almost irreparable damage she has done to her boyfriends character. Its not about hat he was labeled as much as the stigma that caries with it. He would have to address neighbors where he lived that he is a registered sex offender and he would be tracked and could be seen on several websites just by a simple Google search. Sure its on thing for your neighbors to know you are into weird sex or something but to have to walk up to their house look them in the eyes and say "Im robert and im a sex offender" regardless of the circumstances that is a degrading and horrible situation. Then even as the truth comes out years later there will always be those people who will view him differently because at one point he was labeled a sex offender. She needs to pay not only for lying in court but for causing damage to the man character.
User avatar #77 to #6 - meganinja (08/29/2014) [-]
She probably should. Nobody else would ever want to have sex with her if she's a registered sex offender, and so she wouldn't be able to file more claims in the future.

User avatar #106 - dieterkaiser ONLINE (08/29/2014) [-]
People like this should be made to register themselves like sex offenders. I wouldn't want to live in the same neighborhood as these animals. Also, they should be punished more severely than rapists. Lying about rape trivializes rape, and it also each time **** like this happens, it makes men like me less inclined to believe a woman who claim to have been raped. The one thing worse than being raped is being raped and no one believing you, and these women make the likelihood of that exponentially more probable.

1: She already had a boyfriend- that was not under dispute, and I would assume they were intimate.
2: Attractiveness is often not exactly a limiting factor if you really want to rape someone, most certainly not your individual ideas of attractiveness.
3: Saying that a court of law should dismiss a case off the bat because you don't find her attractive enough to rape is really idiotic.

I am obviously not condoning this woman's actions, she's a bitch and what she deserves every second of her sentence and more, but really?
