BB-8 was great and was hilarious

especially that thumbs up scene. i laughed my ass off at that
User avatar #23 to #3 - thekieran ONLINE (12/19/2015) [-]
That wasn't a thumbs up, that was BB-8 reminding Finn that he wasn't happy about lying to the girl but did it anyways because he knew it was the right thing to do. So it was more of a middle finger.
User avatar #54 to #23 - ilikethisusername (12/19/2015) [-]
if it was a thumbs up that would be just as funny.

i can imagine BB-8 being pissed at Finn and giving him a middle finger because he isn't with the resistance.
User avatar #31 to #23 - orangelightning (12/19/2015) [-]
why are people thumbing you down, he was holding out a ******* welder flame towards finn.
User avatar #32 to #31 - thekieran ONLINE (12/19/2015) [-]
Meh, who knows. I've stopped caring about thumbs. That was just my interpretation, if people don't like it when w/e
User avatar #36 to #32 - testaburger (12/19/2015) [-]
It's not that people don't like it.
It's that it's a dumb interpretation.
User avatar #37 to #36 - thekieran ONLINE (12/19/2015) [-]
It's a begrudging "I'll play along but I'm not happy about it" Sign. It's not a thumbs up, it's a threat.

"Good job little guy"

"I can still melt your face off"
It makes more sense than him using a welder as a thumbs up.
User avatar #47 to #37 - dreygur (12/19/2015) [-]
Or you could see the lighter as the hand and the flame as the thumb. I think that's what everybody else saw.
User avatar #39 to #37 - tylosaurus ONLINE (12/19/2015) [-]
Pretty damn sure they were in a situation where thumbs-up is the only logical form of interpretation. (I also do believe that Finn showe gratitude at the moment). Pretty sure that he would have given him "the middle finger" long before if that was the intention. Pretty sure that BB8 actually LIKES Finn, despite his lie. Your interpretation is stupid.
User avatar #53 to #31 - apurpleliger (12/19/2015) [-]
They're just showing him their welder flames.

BB-8 had so much personality and i loved it

A lot of people are saying that they didn't like BB-8, but I actually found it a lot less cringeworthy than I anticipated.

Definitely a step up from Jar-Jar Binks.

She's Obi-wans forgotten daughter
User avatar #49 to #12 - victorydanceofc (12/19/2015) [-]
****** if that were so she'd be at least in her forties.
User avatar #46 to #12 - hurdurmur (12/19/2015) [-]
Or maybe she's just a random girl who just happened to be born with The Force? There's a theory that because so many people who could control The Force, The Force is trying to bring a balance into the galaxy. So that's why Rey was born with such a strong Force.

Finn? Actual movie spoiler ahead He was taken from his family as a child and raised as a First Order stormtrooper. He was just some random ******* kid.

Obi-Wan died when Luke was like 16. And Luke is very much more than 16 years older than Rey.

I'm thinking she's Luke's, tbh.

Yea that's what I think too. I mean, the light saber passing down is a dead give away. Strong with the force, even against Kylo Ren. They're related, there's no doubt about it.

This reminds me a lot of race mixing and the effects of white genocide.

Notice the strength and power of the (Aryan) Deathstar on the left being tainted by the much weaker and less capable droid on the right. The only traits left are the inferior ones in the byproduct.

Thanks for sharing this!
#21 to #10 - anon (12/19/2015) [-]
You know, I used to think the exact same way, I guess /pol/ does that to you when you're a newbie to it.

But grow up and watch the movie. The black guy was made a fool, the woman chick was the bad ass of the movie, and all in all, it was just that, a movie. Quit being close minded. Yes, I agree multiculturalism is not an effective ideology. It will not work and it's resistance is prevalent to those who the white people are trying to help, the minorities and oppressed. They refuse multiculturalism in that they are trying to eliminate all other cultures besides their own.

But with the movie you are just nit picking to the atom.
#40 to #21 - anon (12/19/2015) [-]
Wow, racist much?

I mean: They refuse multiculturalism in that they are trying to eliminate all other cultures besides their own.

So by what you're saying, no one is allowed to live next to the white man unless they destroy their own way of life and culture and traditions and adopt the white man's. Isn't that just <minority> genocide, in your terms? "Can't have blacks around actually INTEGRATING. They gotta just be dark-skinned white people." "Can't have no chinks living around here, just yellow white folk who need to learn how to talk gooder."

Seriously, you sound like any redneck hick I live near. The fact you try to mask it behind pseudo-intellectualism is just even more cringey than being a ******* racist. You and your race are not better than anyone else. In fact, given that you think you're 'helping' all the other races by trying to force YOUR ideologies and culture on them proves that you are inferior.

We need integration. Society is already too white because it was codified by the whites in their violent conquest of much of the world. America is supposed to be a multi-cultural melting pot, and it's not. It's a place where only what white sensibilities find acceptable is tolerated. There is only one culture in America, the rest are allowed to stay around yet also treated hostilely unless it's interesting.

******* skinheads, you're disgusting.

I can still not tell if the movie was any good.

Spoilers: Why did Rey and FInn suck so much? They're the two main characters ffs, so why did they both need to have the emo "refusal of the call" theme going on? I mean ffs it happened so many times it even happened in the same ******* scene at one point, where Finn decided he was gonna ditch for the outer rim and Rey decided to be emo and not want to be a jedi.

Who likes this type of emo character, seriously.
User avatar #43 to #22 - ogopogofod (12/19/2015) [-]
Finn didnt set out on a quest to help anyone but himself in the beginning, he only wanted to get away from the first order. As told, he graduated the first order training academy right before the movie starts, and he says later, that the battle where poe were captured was the very first real battle he had been in, and he hated it. So, since he hates battles in general, why should he be happy about fighting with the rebels? And Ray basicly didnt have ANY training what so ever, i actually thought she was way too powerful without having any training, and she beat kylo ren too easily.
