i heard a knife well, i heard it was a sword, but whatever can be sharpened to the point that it can split a human hair that is dropped on the blade.
unless its obsidian, then it can cut your DNA in half

Toxic metals rip your DNA apart.
That's why kids are so ****** up with cancer and disorders now a days.
They tested a bag of fluoride from China and it contained over 300 chemicals including mercury, lead, radon, and just a mixed jumble of **** .
They get paid by our taxes to dump their industrial waste in our water supply.

Just get the right toothpaste and the right food, don't treat your body like a garbage can

I must be retard at this point considering how much fluoride I've probably taken. Should I be worried?

Dude, any steel worth a damn can be sharpened to ridiculous levels.
Nothing special.
User avatar #82 to #2 - wellimnotsure ONLINE (01/02/2016) [-]
It should be noted that even with obsidian, every cut that is made drastically reduces cutting quality.
User avatar #46 to #2 - bjornkrage (01/02/2016) [-]
i mean, yeah, in theory it wouldn't be hard to split DNA through the double helix, since it consists of hydrogen bonds which are super weak. But you're gonna need some ridiculous precision for that, though.

>>#2, Obsidian blades are extremely fragile so they're not suitable for anything but very VERY delicate surgery, and even then you still have to worry about the blade breaking.
User avatar #13 to #5 - iamrexraptor (01/02/2016) [-]
also they tend to flake, so if you dont want little slivers of obsidian inside you, go with the steel option.
User avatar #18 to #13 - shadowstepone (01/02/2016) [-]
it's not unheard of for bits to fracture off any sort of scalpel though, it's not as if steel never breaks.
User avatar #42 to #18 - HenrikVIII (01/02/2016) [-]
Steel is waaaay more elastic
#98 to #18 - anon (01/02/2016) [-]
Steel in mainly Iron, with a little bit of carbon. These are micro nutrient which are safe, in contrast to SiO2 of the obsidian.
User avatar #59 to #13 - thismustbeseen (01/02/2016) [-]
Yeah, it sounds like obsidian is really something you shouldn't be doing operations with, or even cutting food with for that matter.
#61 to #59 - iamrexraptor (01/02/2016) [-]
its for slices your enemies guts out, mayan style
#77 to #59 - anon (01/02/2016) [-]
There are a few surgeons who use obsidian scalpels though.

It's supposed to traumatize the tissue less and lead to faster healing incisions.

totally fake, you can see the whole cutting board move. So it is attached to the cutting board.
User avatar #17 to #8 - tgbacon (01/02/2016) [-]
see da big cut closet to the bottom of the video? thats the top and thats whats keeping it from moving on the board.

>Lightweight cutting board that looks like it doesn't have rubber stoppers

"CUTTING BOARD MOVED!! FAAAAAKE!"

Shut up, faggot.
#10 to #8 - anon (01/02/2016) [-]
He probably had the bottom cut off so it was somewhat sticking to the board, I wouldn't say it was "attached" to the board

Meat cutter; I would cry tears of joy if I could use this on the job. Not that our knives are dull, but sharper is always better.

Yesterday my boss dropped a knife and it went through his shoe into his toe. 2 stitches and a lot of insults were given to him.

It's the fact that he's actually SLICING the tomato that pleases me the most.

Too many ******* idiots try to brute-force push/pull a blade through their food, instead of actually ******* slicing it.

User avatar #54 - catkyte (01/02/2016) [-]
the tomato is anchored to the board, this is literally cheating.
User avatar #64 to #54 - joeykaze (01/02/2016) [-]
yup, you can see the board move with the last slice.
#72 to #64 - dankrolls ONLINE (01/02/2016) [-]
**dankrolls used "*roll picture*"**
**dankrolls rolled image**And this could not be caused by that he cut off the bottom of it? So that it wouldn't roll away you know?

And either way, that board is not heavy, it is on a flat surface and it obviously doesn't have any rubber feet to hold it in position...
User avatar #90 to #72 - catkyte (01/02/2016) [-]
the gif implies that the knife is so sharp that it doesn't get any resistance whatsoever when cutting, which is a lie.
#94 to #90 - peebze (01/02/2016) [-]
Or, OR, you know, the knife is sharp enough that the weight of the tomato on its own is enough to keep it in place as it slices through it.
#93 to #90 - dankrolls ONLINE (01/02/2016) [-]
**dankrolls used "*roll picture*"**
**dankrolls rolled image**How would anything not get any resistance when moving through anything?

To be honest I would say that what a silent 11 second movie "implies" is highly subjective...

#85 - kaitora (01/02/2016) [-]
Looks like it's sharpened all the way through. Impressive when you're cutting a tomato but may just bend when cutting anything harder.
