ok. i'm fine with that.

my sisters burst and almost killed her, the doctors refused to believe it that might be Appendicitis, she was told it was gas, then a stomech ulcer, then they did like 4 pregnency tests, then sent her home, unable to even sit up without agony.

finally, on the 3rd day, our mother stormed in and shouted and screamed at them until someone did a ******* X-ray, then they tried to put off her surgery because "she's sleeping so peacefully" (AKA: knocked the **** out on morphine because she couldn't stand the pain)

finally they did the surgery (after more shouting) and it ruptured while they were doing it, the doctor came back and told us "lucky we caught it when we did, a couple more hours and she could have died"

******* NHS is in such a **** state.

hire more doctors, hire more nurses, stop closing hospitals and use our tax money for what it was intended for, instead of buying a fourth house in Spain!

******* government.

okay, let's look at this way:

UK has around 10trillion debt, which is 406% debt to gdp... high debt low income.

US has around 17 trillion debt but only at 106%... higher debt, but MUCH higher income

while UK has less debt, it is in deeper **** with it's own debt than US with it's more debt.

let's look at it this way: UK has $100 debt, US has $170. you would say "hah US has almost twice the debt".. which might be true, but it doesn't matter since US earns around $169 while UK only earns $25.

It also depends on how the money is spent. In Mexico, for example, a huge percentage goes into education, and Mexico is up there with the top ten that invest in that sector. However, almost all of the money goes to paying public teacher wages, and because of the system that teachers have, the abuse of it, steal the money, and don't work, since they pretty much have a guaranteed tenure.

Actually, we don't need to increase taxes, we just need to start collecting them. Most major companies pay no taxes because they put all their money in offshore accounts and abuse loopholes that end up making the government owe them tax money despite posting billion dollar profits. then they whine about how all their money is tied up in offshore accounts and they cant use any of it because they would be killed in taxes, so the government gives them a tax holiday where they are allowed to bring it all back, free of charge. On top of that, we still pass laws lowering their taxes, and give them bailouts.

Of course there isn't enough revenue when only the poor are paying their taxes.

Think about it liek dis, if i have $10, and my bud has $100, then hes gonna have to pay 10 times more then me, and of course he does because has about 10 times more than me. - logic

If that happens, then either 2 things result from it.
1, the goverment sees this and cranks up their taxes (through special bills that affect only them) to line their pockets, thus forcing them to abuse loopholes
2, a bunch of corp hating lib-tards see this and think their taxes should be cranked up, therefore they start a mentality that corporations are the problem, when its the opposite.

2. Corporations are a problem as long as they're doing this ****. Making monopolies/oligopolies, evading taxes, and so on.

While I agree with the free healthcare it is an absurd notion to say we need an increase in taxes. As a country we need to actively take measures to reduce costs of healthcare. Rather than spending money in some areas needlessly it should be redistributed to more constructive activities like healthcare. Less foreign military bases would be a good start in my opinion.

Not quite accurate stating "40% of GDP comes from taxing their citizens". I'm not sure if you're clear on what GDP is or how it is calculated but I understand what you are trying to say. My main point is that we have enough money from taxes and other revenue sources the money is just being spent improperly. We should use money being spent unwisely and reapportion it accordingly.

I see you've recently purchased a Thesaurus to make it seem like you now what the hell you're talking about.

You want to know how other countries afford their free healthcare? Higher taxes. You think by canceling NFL stadiums(or whatever else you think we shouldn't spend so much money on) it will give us free healthcare? Thats not how it works and that's not how it will happen.

Tax pays for public safety, education, and government. And since we have ****** schools, ****** protection, and ****** government, what do you expect if individually Americans only pay at MAX up to 10% in taxes, whereas other countries like Norway, UK, Sweden, an individual will pay from 10-57%. With all that extra refenue--why the hell not give everyone free healthcare.

An "absurd notion" to pay more taxes? You, sir, are an ass.

Although I do understand your position I do in fact understand what I am talking about. I am an economist and a statistician with a masters in both subjects. While yes in Nordic countries with more socialized democracies ( and economies) do have higher tax rates, depending on bracket, it does not mean the amount of money in each system is equivalent. Observe total budgets for military spending from both ends you will notice how significantly more the United States will spend. I am not suggesting military spending be cut entirely simply that efforts be made to shift government spending to other areas. Secondly we spend more for healthcare per person than those countries despite not having everyone on a health plan. Again as a country I think our focus should be on reducing health care costs rather than increasing taxes. An increase in taxes will shrink overall spending power of the middle class which is not a good move during a recovery period. Thank you for at least attempting to make a logical and intelligent argument I look forward to hearing a rebuttal.
