Holy **** . That was magical. As a former fat guy, real **** like that is what made me realize I needed a change. That dude told it like it is, but wasn't just bashing for the sake of bashing, he came right the **** around and turned it into a moral.
from another former fatty, all it is is just eating not necessarily less, but better, and slowly increasing the amount you get active. you don't have to hit a gym all the time, just walk more places, take the stairs, opt for water instead of tea or soda. there's hundreds of little things you can do that add up to being healthier and will make you feel better
Just eat right and count calories. If you're interested in speeding up the process cardio is #1. Running is great but swimming is the best if you can. Biking is good as well. Just stop eating junk food and stop with the soda. Less steak and pork. Just look up the food pyramid and follow that **** . Grains-veggies-fruits-dairy-meat. The only time you bump of the meat is for protein but there's whey for that and you don't need protean since that's for building muscle more than it is losing weight. Just eat a normal amount of protean and run. All about them grains and water.
Good, you better go get that **** . I believe in you. Now you better get out there and start kicking some ass and don't quit. When you want to quit remember why you started, remember the video. You're the only one that can Manke a change now go do it. And don't start tomorrow or next week or when you have time START NOW. Go get it, brother. FJ has your back.
I believe at you. go to /fit/ on 4chan [spoiler] yeah i know
>2015
>still using half chan
8chan still doesn't have a beginners guide as good as the one on 4chan [spoiler] the first thread has a link to some good basic rules on diet and exercise trust me its not like only eating vegetables or some ******** fad diet that's impossible to keep up for longterm or like doing a 50k a day workout regime. It's some relatively easy **** to do so long as you stick to it. read the whole thing and you should consult with your doctor before you do anything if you're really overweight. god speed you glorious bastard.
I started a program like this where you just do 20 push ups, 20 sit ups, 20 squats, 20 crunches four times each morning. Yeah it wasn't the quickest way to make gains or get fit, but it was something. It's better than killing yourself to start out with and thinking that's the only way to do it.
Any exercise is good exercise. Doing this got me into fitness, and now I follow a legit program, but there's nothing wrong with starting off with this.
The problem is even skinny people have problems doing 25 push ups, asking a fat person to do it is just a quick way to immediately discourage them. I'd say stick with walking or jogging until some of the weight is off.
25 total sure, but not 25 at once. You fail to realize that a pushup is an entirely different workout for different people. It uses almost every muscle in your upper body, and if any of those are untrained then it makes it very difficult. How could you expect an already out of shape person to life 250-300lbs of their own weight like that? Not to mention that it's actually asking for 75 pushups, not just 25. We're talking about fat people here, man.
Fat people can be in shape enough to do pushups. If not, do it on your knees, instead of your toes. I'm not talking 25 pushups total, I'm talking 25 pushups, correctly, in one set. No kipping, no ******** , no touching the ground.
Working out is difficult, staying in shape, getting in shape is difficult. Making it seem easy in the beginning is not the purpose of working out. It has to be difficult, you gotta push yourself, find your limit and improve.
I'm just saying that pushups aren't the same thing for everyone. Someone who's 5'4" and 150lbs will have a much easier time with them than someone who is 6'5" and 200lbs. That's increasing the weight as well as distance from the fulcrum. Not to mention that, since the topic is weight loss, cardio should be top priority, and muscle training can come after that fat weight has been reduced.
Doing pushups, crunches and pullups isn't exactly heavy lifting
There's a thousand different ways to do pushups, and plenty of ways to make it easier.
For fat people wanting to get in shape, they should do whatever they're comfortable with. If that's weight lifting, go for it. If it's going for a run then do it, and keep doing it.
What I've always done is to train the things I know I suck at. Like I know I'm not the most agile man, but I'm very strong. So instead of doing the same stupid repetitions in the gym, I've started to focus on stretching, and balance, losing a bit of muscle, but buildng a core like never before.
So that's my advice. If there's something you know you suck at, whether you're fat, skinny or picture perfect, then work on it and try and improve it.
A lot of people I know found families when they had none in the weightroom and on the field. A lot of inspiration and joy is to be had and looking good is just a bonus.
It's a great feeling isn't it. Its the small things that get me the most. Clothes start to feel better, sitting in a chair doesn't give you those "I haven't moved in too long pains" anymore and you don't have to pause and brace your weight when doing simple things. Then eventually you get that awesome light feeling.
I lost a bunch of weight about a year ago. And I can tell you, the absolute hardest thing to do was to start. Your already past that so its only get better. Good luck.
Oh, and one thing I forgot. I don't know if it will help but when it came to the diet part, I never told myself, "No you can't have that pizza." Instead I just told myself I would get it next time. Of course when next time came I put it off again. I know it sounds stupid, but it really helped me with those cravings for this or that.
I've been eating close to no carbs and a high fat diet, it's called ketosis look it up. Apparently its really healthy and lowers your cholesterol despite eating so much fat per day. I'm losing all kinds of weight.
Keep at it, man. Remember, your diet is just as important. You know people get mad respect for those transformation pics they post around the web. You can do it, too.
I started lifting weights, but apparently it's only making me fatter, because it makes me more hungry, while not burning a whole lot of fat. If you want to lose weight, do some running exercises.
