"How to Skew Scientific Results in Your Favor for Dummies"

Seriously, I read this report where scientists had found that marijuana killed brain cells. I then read another report about the report, they described what the scientists did. The scientists put gas masks on rhesus monkeys and then flooded the masks with marijuana smoke for an elongated period of time suffocating the monkeys.

If you're unclear on what the problem is, suffocation causes brain cells to die.

If you perform research with an opinion formed, the research will validate your opinion, almost every time.

Exactly, I have a buddy who constantly validates his points and "wins" arguments by saying "they've done studies that prove my point" when I could just as easily google "why ___ is false" to come up with a counter argument.

If you read a report that is actually a lie with your opinion already formed, then BS like your posting is the result.

What if I read a report that was a lie without my opinion formed?

Would you prefer I to have read that study, accepted it as fact, and start yelling at people who were pro-marijuana legalization that marijuana kills brain cells based on a single skewed result?

At the time I was attempting to find if there were any studies linking loss of brain cells to marijuana and that was one I found, I eventually found that chronic intake for prolonged periods of time would cause loss of brain cells, which I mentioned in the speech I gave.

That has nothing to do with this, however, I'm just stating that if you're reading a report always double check the facts because they can be skewed if the person reporting it is biased, and I felt this was an excellent example.

While I get the joke, frogs (as well as salamanders) do actually hear low frequency noises via their front legs. The vibrations travel up their forelimbs and humerus to their scapula and supra scapula. The levitator scapula then carries the vibrations through the opercularis muscle to the operculum whose movement causes the perilymph to vibrate, which is detected by hair cells within papilla as sound. Perhaps this is why frogs so often skip upper body day, as the excessive muscles limit their muscular vibrations.

Scientists =/= Government And don't you dare say they do
From a scientific point of view:
This is clearly not science in many ways.

From a government point of view:
As long as it makes us more money and doesn't get citizens mad we will support it.

They probably hired a corrupt scientist.
