Jumping a massive gap on a motorbike is a regular stunt, the good kind.

Announcing that you're gay in order to turn public eye off of you after you molested a teenage boy, THAT'S a publicity stunt.

The train is by far the best way to lose stars in GTA 5, online or off. Helicopters are too slow to follow and tend to run into mountainsides or powerlines, cops who follow generally just die from touching the train, cars that crash into the side explode, it's awesome.
