I'm trying to get buff and lose some excess weight. I used to be 160 and now I'm 210 everyone thought I was anorexic so they forced me to gain weight and now they think I'm fat lol . Im 22 and 5' 10" I have been using dumbbells (25lbs) for the past three weeks and I gained 8 pounds lol. What exercises should I do ( that I can do at home) to get bigger muscles and eventually be ripped? Thanks

Research. To start off though, go to the gym. You'll never get ripped using only one weight and at home workouts.

I'm really busy with college and chores at home. Also the closest gym is 30min away by drive and is usually super packed

dont see the problems, see solutions.
3 times a week should be enough as a start anyway

Here's something, I've had two surgeries on my left knee and one on my right knee and I've found it much harder than previously to motivate myself to work out, mostly stemming from the fear of wrecking my knees again. Any lighter workout recommendations for something like this?

Swim.

or

Hike.

Or

Really long walks.

That's how I could see you putting the least stress on your joints.

Cant run, recently broken ankle. Hurts like a bitch after less than a hundred metres. So i walk and do martial arts, which includes a lot of bodyweight exersises like in the post.

I run an average of 25 miles a week. I do 10k's every fall. Doing one in a couple weeks. This stuff is good, but if you want to get really good you gotta do more. The hard part isn't distance it's speed. Work on leg muscles more. Incorporate more high kicks and uphill running in your training. Alternate days for distance running and sprinting. Anyone can do a 5k. But few can do it fast.

Dirty pizza, the pizza who went rouge.

Assisting those who need physical fitness, and not conforming to the pizza way of life. Obesity.

He is the hero we need.

haven't exercised in quite some time, maybe 2 years. Always been a hefty guy used to be a body builder in college as we had unlimited free access to the gym. When i finished college i just stopped exercising, tried to get back into it multiple times, even attended a one week army boot camp experience away from home where they pushed us to our limits. I'm 5' 8" and 224 pounds (i'm overweight i know and that may be an understatement.) attempted the batman workout, i am now, ******* knackered. Will continue with it though as i had fun doing it, even if i did fail. pic related, it's me, one of my recent pictures (holding the book i wrote and published)

Because body weight workouts will make you ripped.
User avatar #28 - chenn (10/28/2015) [-]
1. Search "p90" or "insanity workout" (depends how intense you want it to be, p90 is a bit easier and is more about losing weight and looking good rather than about brutal strenght)
2. Download
3. Do what it tells you
4. Profit
You can thank me later. That means when you're ripped.
