>Be me, special agent Tyree Smith for the CIA, partner is Dimitri Smith
>On a politically delicate mission
>Not allowed to bring ID or CIA badge so no ties can be made back to CIA if caught
>Sent to a house where a meeting about the transfer of nuclear arms will take place
>There is a leak in our agency who will be taking part in the meeting
>Our mission is to plant bugs in the house to monitor meeting and identify leak
>Arrive at house
>Lights are off and door is unlocked
>Makes infiltration easy, but it feels like it could be a trap
>Partner pulls out glock just in case it's an ambush
>About to plant first bug when someone screams "FOR THE MOTHERLAND!!!"
>Oh **** oh **** we have the wrong house
>See some maniac standing in the loft overlooking the stairs
>He's holding a ******* musket with a bayonet attached to the end of it
>Huge musket ball impales my partner on the chest
>He drops dead
>Maniac leaps off the loft and charges me with the musket
>His eyes are bloodshot and he's foaming at the mouth
>Trip but make it into my car
>Maniac jabs his bayonet into the ******* hood of my car and ***** up my engine
>Police arrive, I beg them to take me back to the station
>Russian is still spewing foam from is mouth, eyes twitching, entire body shaking
>Sentenced to five years but at least I survived the mad Russian

Musket?

Where i the world did you get the idea a Mosin was a musket? He even included working the bolt
User avatar #97 to #82 - ragingspacepanda (01/26/2014) [-]
maybe the unholy size of the bullet
User avatar #102 to #97 - Kanoah (01/26/2014) [-]
Yeap, Mosin bullets are almost unnecessarily big. But that makes it amazing.

180 grain boat tailed shoft points will blow just about the biggest hole I'v ever seen in something soft and flesh like. I love my mosin

Nice. I just use the 148 grain light ball corrosive ammo, since it's relatively cheap. Where do you get that 180 grain ammo from?
#132 to #109 - eatthepolarbears (01/26/2014) [-]
I reloaded the boat tailed soft points and the other box of 180 grain that I have I bought in a sporting goods store and they are suppose to be hunting rounds but id only shoot an elk with one. I normally just buy fmj to. Its bad ass but dirty as ****

I had no idea what a nugget was
>first i thought he was eating dinner
>they i thought he was lining clothes irons up home alone style
>then i thought he had a golf club with a ******* bayonet on the end.

not sure which would've been funniest.

I find this horrible, despicable and just downright wrong... who the hell uses a bolt action for self defense?

Stopping power and accuracy. I do not see the problem, in all honesty. Seems badass in my opinion.

Somebody who knows they won't miss, and if they do, it will scare the living **** out of them.
User avatar #41 to #33 - karson (01/26/2014) [-]
not just that, I have been camping and using one of my mosins for self-defense guns, but that is a very high powered round. so shooting a mosin in your house is gonna make a round fly thru all your walls, out of your house, and into your neighbor's house, potentially hurting innocent people. it's only acceptable if you live in the middle of nowhere with no neighbors. but I don't think that was the case in this story.
#64 to #41 - crotchlesshotpants (01/26/2014) [-]
Read the first sentence of the story out loud
User avatar #77 to #41 - yunoavailable (01/26/2014) [-]
"live in the middle of nowhere"
first line -_-
User avatar #134 to #77 - karson (01/27/2014) [-]
I know of a lot of people who say they live in the middle of nowhere because they live in a small town or neighborhood. living in the middle of nowhere doesn't necessarily mean you don't have neighbors....
User avatar #135 to #134 - karson (01/27/2014) [-]
and even then, you're gonna have a ******* hole in all your walls behind the person you shoot...
User avatar #137 to #135 - yunoavailable (01/27/2014) [-]
yeah, but in a self defense situation that's not really your primary concern. I do see your point though
User avatar #49 to #41 - datsheriff ONLINE (01/26/2014) [-]
Well, that's only if you miss the ******* shot.
User avatar #51 to #49 - karson (01/26/2014) [-]
do you have any experience with rifles man? particularly a mosin, most likely loaded with surplus ammo (which is FMJ)? that 7.62x54 is going to go through all the walls in your house and into your neighbor's house after going through the bad guy.
User avatar #54 to #51 - datsheriff ONLINE (01/26/2014) [-]
To be honest, I've only ever used a 12 gauge and a .30-06.

Can't say that I know what it would be like to fire each inside my house.
User avatar #58 to #54 - karson (01/26/2014) [-]
but yeah, a .30-06 would have similar effects as a mosin if fired indoors in suburban areas. you could end up shooting the burglar, but also killing your neighbor's kids or **** like that. it's happened before.
User avatar #59 to #58 - datsheriff ONLINE (01/26/2014) [-]
Good thing I live way out in the middle of ******** egypt.
User avatar #60 to #59 - karson (01/26/2014) [-]
then yeah, if you don't have any neighbors, you can use a high power rifle indoors. provided you like holes in your walls, lol.
User avatar #57 to #54 - karson (01/26/2014) [-]
yeah, you're not supposed to use high powered rifles in residential areas, especially not indoors. stick with shotguns and pistols for home defense if you don't want to send bullet through your neighborhood. even 7.62x39 (AK47 round) punches through most people's walls.
User avatar #75 to #57 - thatoneiranianguy ONLINE (01/26/2014) [-]
Same thing applies to people who use AR-15s configured for .223 or 5.56. Not a good home defense weapon and/or round.

I got a new music teacher in my school. Since I never seen her before, I put on an English accent as a joke when she asked for my name, and what my hobbies are. I think that she believed that I had an English accent even though I look ******* Mexican. Now I have to have an English accent until I'm done with school or else I would be sent to the principal for being rude.
