According to research movies are not a good first date location dinner is I'd recommend outback steakhouse, steak and shake, red Lobster, Bob Evans, cracker barrel, all depending on the food they grew up on if you can figure that out it should be easy for them order and you could ask for recommendations since they're familiar with that type of food

My first date with my boyfriend was watching a movie at his place. Was really nice and personal, nothing too serious. We watched the movie and then talked untill I had to go.

Other option would be, see if there is a gallery/whatever you both would be interested in. It's something to talk about once you run out of material, and it's not a cinema, so you can actually talk. If it's fun you can then decide to go drink something somewhere and talk more there. And then afterwards, if everything goes well you could possibly do some degenerate hand holding while he walks you back home/to the station/whatever.
