obito is solid when hes absorbing someone, which means goku could punch him out before he even gets absorbed. heck obito probably couldnt react fast enough to transport his body parts to the kamui world which means he would be defenseless.
Meh i think the level of the character matters, like how evolved in the animu/mango they are. And if they can call for other chars. to their aid. AND the battleground. There's a TON of things that could influence the fight, but yea if we take the current obito and the goku from GT or dbz but maybe not the first couple of episodes? . Goku wins lol
I'm legitimately interested in how DBZ would fare against Bleach. People tell me Bleach wouldn't stand a chance, But Ichigo just went through yet ANOTHER boost in strength and by this point, He has main character'd his way into Low end DBZ power levels at this point IMO anyway
i think the guys in bleach would win cos even if goku could sense them he wouldnt be able to touch them and all they would have to do is push his soul out and cut his chain that is unless his energy attacks could affect them outside of their bodies
You do know if Goku dies... he will insta tele to them and kick their asses from the after life? Or as the guy under me if anything I would like to see cross over of Gurren Laggan and Dagoh Ball
if he is on the same playing field as them of course he would win but the point i was making is that if he can't see or touch them he would lose as anyone would
Hmm that is the thing... you compare them in the bleach uni but in dagohball they could see "souls" when they ran from the hell. No dice for U Kira ya nasty cunt.
Oh please, upper level superman wouldn't be hurt by even upper level Goku's most powerful attack.
If you have watched Superman vs the Elite, he takes a blast that is described as "15 suns exploding in his face". Which would be around 150 quintillion megatons. This barely even phases him.
And since you haven't read the math behind the Death Battle between Goku and Superman(and the fact that Wiz went back, rechecked the nembers, and found out Goku won), Goku surpasses Superman in both power and durability. Superman has no limits, but Goku goes beyond what limits he's given. And then comes back stronger to beat you down. Goku regularly takes planetbusters like punches, so I doubt 15 suns exploding would faze him much either.
One sun exploding would destroy multiple planets.
Assuming that each exploding sun destroys a conservative estimate of 3 planets.
That would be like a normal person taking 45 punches at the same time.
With that amount of energy focused in one place, it would tear a hole through him.
Alright, just did some research, and while I admit that Goku at his best could not best planet-destroying-via-sneeze Silver Age Supes, Average Goku versus average Supes has Goku win, and weakest versus weakest has same result. The reason? It would boil down to whoever was writing out the fight. The creators of both characters pointed out that the character was as strong as they needed to be at any point, via different ways(Supes is as strong as he needs to be, Goku's power level is pointless to consider). When it boils down to who someone wants to win, it comes down to character. Superman is your average Gary Stu. Goku is an underdog. In the end, most stories become tales of the underdog overcoming, so Goku would win on that detail. And like it or not, you know it would be true.
What movies? I don't remember any movies. God forbid they made a movie, though. Yes I did, and it still boiled down to the same thing. Goku was still just learning, but he grew up with martial arts, while Superman at his weakest(That I found) was bested by a goddamn BUS.
I do have to say from what I've found out I don't know if Silver Age Superman beats the strongest form of Goku. Most of the calculations done to correct the death battle limit Goku as to not over power him and still result in the non Silver Age Superman capable of being killed in one hit, but when you look at the non limited Goku in comparison to silver age? Someone did the math on a statement about Silver Age Superman saying that he flies 155 billions miles per hour while Goku being looked at in full was set to flying at 2.97 trillion miles per hour. That's not looking at Battle of the Gods Goku, who has to fight an enemy that one shots the assessed Goku in Wiz's calculations. Not even comparing it to Battle of the Gods Goku, Silver Age Superman moves almost twenty times slower than SS4 Goku. If we were to go ahead and compare the OP Silver Age Superman to the OP Battle of the Gods Goku, I'm not saying that Goku would beat him, but I'm not sure that he couldn't beat him at his best.
Problem is, the Silver Age never bothered with setting max limitations on Superman. He was, by and far, a physical demigod, capable of whatever he wished to do. He had no true trials, and so never output his full potential. Goku, however, is constantly showing his top potential AT THE TIME. While we have yet to see the limits of Goku, we simply would have never seen the limits of true Silver Age Supes. Anything involving Goku wouldn't have been a fight. It'd have been a curbstomp.
The problem I'm finding is that I can not find a single source that states Silver Age Superman did not rely on Yellow Star radiation. The source of all Supermans unlimited power comes from radiation, the only reason Silver Age was so much stronger was due to the increase of yellow star radiation. So number one, fighting in any other universe removes that advantage. Two, for the sake of it, from what I have read, Superman in Silver Age also had his power negated when he received radiation from a red star. Instant Transmission gives Goku the ability to render Supermans Silver Age useless. The whole flaw in Superman was never that he wasn't stronger than Goku, it is that Goku can instantly tap his full potential. Superman requires time to build up his power, unlimited or not he cannot instantly be stronger. You can argue that Goku also overcomes any obstacle set before him, they are both the unrivaled indomitable forces of each universe. Both also have flaws, I understand that, but the fact is that since both have flaws, either has the capability of winning. Which is exactly why instead of saying it would be a curbstomp, since this is crossing two universes where the hero will always find the power to overcome their enemy. I stated that he can match up against Silver Age Superman, which I suppose you can disagree with, but I do believe it to be a match that would never be resolved. (Part of the reasoning is that Superman does not reach x amount of strength and keep it in his unlimited potential, he REQUIRES radiation to regenerate that strength, so while both will tire, Superman doesn't suddenly come back right to where he was, he must continually absorb energy without expending it to become inifinitely stronger, which would not be the case in an ongoing fight with an equally godlike being of a different universe.)
TL;DR It's possible for Battle of the Gods Goku to match up to Silver Age Superman. I may have misread some of the information however. I also wanted to sign in incase someone decides to check it out and finds out I'm wrong. If so, I'm willing to accept it. No need to tell me I'm stupid or anything.
This isn't about the math behind it. These are universes that are controlled by the pen and words, and so it again quite simply becomes a matter of narrative, and Silver Age Supes was about one thing only: Overcoming any obstacle set before him. No matter how strong, or how taxing the effort. He would overcome. Goku? Silver Age Superman would overcome. Pure and simple. He was exactly as strong as he needed to be. This would mean Silver Age would always win unless plot demanded otherwise. Mathematically, they might have been matched. But in the part that MATTERS, the story, Silver Age would win in his comics, Goku would win everywhere else except Ayn Rand books.
My thought process whenever I see people try to theorize fights between Goku and Superman is this... of course they are going to win. They are two retardedly super powerful characters because that is the purpose of their existence.
Superman is the invincible and terrible main hero of DC who always either has to tangle with being "a god among men" or gets poisoned by Kryptonite. Goku is the main hero of, let's be honest here, a popcorn series where death means nothing and near death makes you stronger and everybody has a more powerful form and there's room where you can train for a year but almost not time passes outside. I'm not saying they aren't enjoyable Well Goku and Animated Series Superman are but we need to be honest about what purpose they serve.
Each character is result of need to constantly step up the stakes. Its the same reason there are a hundred characters with "unlimited power" in DC and every other characters in DBZ can turns planets a new asshole. Because they are meant to increase the drama but the stakes have been raised so many times that planet destroyers mean nothing because we have seen a bunch of characters do that before.
And that is why, whenever I see people theorize over who would win a fight against Goku and Superman I don't even bother arguing. Picture related to not thumbing me down to hell
I feel like Superman is probably the worst super hero of all times. He has no weakness other than kryptonite, and a hero with no flaws is basically the most boring **** ever.
Whenever you pick a Superman comic, its basically like: "Lemme guess who wins, the invincible flying man, or the mortal?". Batman has to use wits and gadgets, Spiderman has to use athletics and jizz webs, and so on. Superman just... exists.
I have a friend who likes Superman because he feels like Superman "has to struggle with being a god among men and that the reason he doesn't kill is because it would be like an adult killing children." That's just idiotic to me. Like the only he reason doesn't exercise his powers to their fullest because he is so much better than everyone else that he feels that it would bring him down to our level and treat us like equals. Like no other character, including humans, have ever beaten him in a fight. I ******* despise that interpretation.
The only versions of Superman I like are the versions where he (a) doesn't do bad things because he is morally upright person who was raised by good people not because he thinks of himself as a god or superior being and (b) can be taken toe to toe by a powerful characters
I would agree that Superman was one of the worst designed heroes. But in the recent comics and shows/animated movies he seems to been reduced. He is not faster or competiable with the flash, he is strong but not the strongest hero in existence, he has his ice breath and lazer vision tricks, but he is more like trick of all trades master of none. He is the strongest in DC, but that is fine, he is stupid compared to the rest when you reliase they are all either scientists or batman. And his moral issues and the weight he has on his shoulders make up for it.
All in all i don't like him but in the recent adaptations he is a good hero. Unlike Goku who is always stupidly over powered and only ever gets worse
