You are the kind of guy I adore.

I mainly play as medic, and I generally ignore people that don't know how to play. After a while, you find yourself getting invites to games with people that know how to play, and when you play the class well, you'll find yourself being very well treated and supported. Hardly a game where I have to draw a weapon to defend myself anymore. I can just stay shielded, a bit behind the frontline, behind a corner, and watch how people spread out between health packs and me healing them. It's magic.

Playing medic can be magical or frustrating.

If you have a good team, it's the best ever because you really help out.

If you have a bad team, you seriously contemplate giving ubers to the scout.

I would love to play with a medic in my team only once in my life. Whenever I just play casually, there isn't anybody who plays medic. Or engineer. All Snipers, Spies and Scouts. Annoying as **** .

I have a macro that spams medic for 10 seconds as fast as possible.

same here man, when i play medic it can be stressful as hell when people are calling you with -20 health from across the map i have the custom setting at about 50-60% health and i usually just go by that unless **** is hitting the fan. i try to be the heavy that hands out the sandvich freely to medics as well, but when you need it most its usually, again, when **** is hitting the fan and that split second sandvich toss can either save or maim your chance of winning

being medic is amazing when you are an expirienced medic and have an expirienced team who doesn't shout out "MEDIC" every 5 seconds after they just tried meleeing 3 sentries, although it's amazing when you heal them good and they have your back constantly because of it...

I need to play with you on my team then.

If you know how to not twiddle your thumbs like an idiot when I have uber, you are god's gift to mankind, friend.
User avatar #11 to #10 - tittylovin (09/03/2014) [-]
Ugh, this.
Even worse, ubering someone who JUST ran out of ammo.
I know you can watch their ammo if you're healing them, but sometimes the charge sneaks up on you, and so does the enemy and it's either uber or be killed.
#12 to #11 - epicscorpion (09/03/2014) [-]
Don't forget trying to push out and the one demo is sitting there trying to sticky camp.
#13 to #12 - tittylovin (09/03/2014) [-]
Ubering someone and they think it's a good time to get some melee kills even though they have ammo.
Guess what, if you don't spend a lot of time meleeing, you're not going to be good at it instantly.

Just used this and got a medic to stop pocketing and heal everyone else but ******* heavys.

I main an engineer.

Does anybody ever thank me for a well placed dispenser?
Does anybody ever thank me for holding a point against half the enemy team?
God dammit.
But i keep playing anyway.

I'm used to no praise and thats just fine. It's when Im in the mvp list that makes me smile as a engie. Too bad i don't top score as engie often

THe worst part about playing medic are the people who ignore you getting killed and then spam MEDIC and complain that you're not healing them when they JUST SAW YOU EXPLODE/BURN/BECOME A PINCUSHION.
User avatar #25 - AvidGamerShkunk (09/04/2014) [-]
how does one thank a doctor in tf2?
is there a key one can press and, if so, what key?
User avatar #26 to #25 - dragostarc (09/04/2014) [-]
There's a voice menu and number key you press to say "Thanks!"
I have mine bound to button on my mouse (I have one of those mice with the back/forwardpage buttons) for thanks, and have other keys bound using console commands for "Good work", "No", "Spy", and of course... NEEDA DISPENSEH HEAH!
#29 to #25 - anon (09/04/2014) [-]
Z -> 2

That makes your character in TF2 say "Thanks!"

Engineer: "Much obliged"
Demoman: "Thanks mate!"

Nothing is more annoying in TF2 when you're playing Medic and your team doesn't other protecting you when you try your damn best to stay alive and to heal them at the same time, then they get pissy over you not healing them.
User avatar #36 - TwiztidNinja (09/04/2014) [-]
For some reason this reminds me of being a healer in world of warcraft.

#44 to #36 - anon (09/04/2014) [-]
The amount of attention i would get when i play as a healer is astonishing. "Holy **** thanks medic" "Yo good **** bro" "First decent healer all ******* week." I thought healing people was like, normal, your job. Why so much praise?
User avatar #34 - betars (09/04/2014) [-]
tfw scout's "thanks doc" is an automated message when scouts get healed
#18 - anon (09/03/2014) [-]
if you pick medic, then it's your job to heal. you don't need to thank heavy for tanking hits, or scout for capturing intelligence
