This is my first time doing this so I'm still not to sure on how to set this up. I will give my thoughts over animes of this season that have ended and are not sequels or shorts. I won't be going over the quality of the animation cause I don't have much of a eye for that stuff, but I will mention it if it really stands out. I probably won't go in to too much depth so if you want to know more ask about it in the comment section. Also I attach the op's to their respective shows.

Comet Lucifer

Genres: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Mecha
Studio: 8bit
Episode Count: 12

Gift, a world covered in glittering blue crystals called gifdium. Sougo Amagi is a boy who lives in the town of Garden Indigo, which has prospered from the mining of these crystals. Sougo, whose hobby is collecting rare crystals, one day becomes involved in a dispute between classmates Kaon, Roman, and Otto. He wanders deep into the ruins of a mine and discovers an underground lake. There, Sougo meets a mysterious girl with blue hair and red eyes. Who is this girl, and what will their meeting bring? The door to an adventure opens with their newly formed bond.

tl;dr guy wants bang girl that came from rock, but doesn't.

I came into this not expecting much and I was right. up till about episode 6 it plays out as a boring slice of life and nothing happens. After that there trying to return the stone girl to a place while they fight of people with mechs that are trying to take the girl and there is some kind of politics going on in the background. The only good thing I liked about this is the mechs even though I'm not a big fan of mechs. Everything else was pretty meh they tried to make me feel for a character that I couldn't feel for given they only gave him a episode of backstory. Overall its a coming of age story about facing the world as a kid. Also at the last episode they put in a random thing about preserving the earth just because.

5/10

Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou

Genres: Action, Super power
Studio: Bones
Episode Count: 13

The stage is set in "another Japan" as a banquet of diverse superhumans unfolds... In an imaginary "age of gods" about 20 years after the war, Japan has grown and developed by leaps and bounds. What if all the superhumans ever written about in fictional stories existed at the same time? Superhumans who came into existence through different circumstances, and who are special in different ways?Titans from outer space, lifeforms from a mystical world, phantoms and goblins from ancient times, cyborgs created by scientists, relics that rose out of the ruins of ancient civilizations, and the list goes on. One segment of these superhumans makes no secret of their existence and has gained popularity in society. Others cloak their identities and fight in secrecy. There are enemies of superhumans as well, organizations that operate in the shadows. The Japanese government has taken many measures to secure peace and order. One is the establishment of an organization under the Ministry of Health and Welfare?the Overpopulation Research Laboratory, a.k.a. the Superhuman Bureau. Their mission is to identify and approach superhumans, then oversee and safeguard them. One member of the Superhuman Bureau, Jirou Hitoyoshi, is protagonist of this series.

tl;dr Super hero's are supposed to be secret, kept under rap by the Superhuman Bureau.

I don't know how I should go about explaining this show so I guess I'll talk about how a normal episode goes. Something happens then the a random member of the Superhuman Bureau goes out to fix the problem. Then shows the main character Jiro in the future presumed evil and how the events of the past turned him to this. This is episodic with a over arching story line. Was left open ended because there will be another season.

7/10

Gakusen Toshi Asterisk

Genres: Action, Comedy, Ecchi, Fantasy, Harem, Romance, School, Sci-Fi, Supernatural
Studio: A-1 Pictures
Episode Count: 12

The Academy City on the water, Rikka (otherwise known as Asterisk) is the world's largest stage for the integrated battle entertainment, "Star Wars Festival." The young boys and girls of the "Starpulse Generation" belonging to the six academies made their wishes with Shining Armaments in their hands, vying for supremacy?Amagiri Ayato is one of them. Ayato arrived at Rikka at the invitation of the Student Council President of the Seidoukan Academy, Claudia, and right after that he incurred the wrath of the "Petalblaze Witch" Julis, and ended up having to duel her. The greatest academy battle entertainment, begins here!

I don't have much to say about this one considering there is going to be another season so this just setting up for it. This is just your standard harem school battle anime that have seem to be out every season now. There is one thing that I thought was pretty stupid about this is that the guy comes into this school trying to find the where about of his lost sister. This goes on for like the first 3 episodes then it just seems like they forget about till they bring it back up in episode 11.

6/10

Lance N' Masques

Genre: Fantasy
Studio: Studio Gokumi
Episode Count: 12

This battle action series revolves around Youtarou, a young man who is part of the last remaining order of knights in the 21st century, called "Knights of the World." As he fights as the mysterious Knight Lancer, he must hide his identity behind a mask.

tl;dr white knight protects loli

This show is **** .

3/10

One Punch Man

Genres: Action, Comedy, Parody, Sci-Fi, Seinen, Super Power, Supernatural
Studio: Madhouse
Episode Count: 12

In this new action-comedy, everything about a young man named Saitama screams "AVERAGE," from his lifeless expression, to his bald head, to his unimpressive physique. However, this average-looking fellow doesn't have your average problem... He's actually a superhero that's looking for tough opponents! The problem is, every time he finds a promising candidate he beats the snot out of them in one punch. Can Saitama finally find an evil villain strong enough to challenge him? Follow Saitama through his hilarious romps as he searches for new bad guys to challenge!

OPM is incredibly simple show it doesn't have a story and all it focuses on is how characters interact with one another and epic action.

9/10

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry

Genres: Action, Ecchi, Fantasy, Romance, School
Studio: Silver Link
Episode Count: 12

The "school sword action" story revolves around Magic Knights, modern magic-users who fight with weapons converted from their souls. Ikki Kurogane goes to a school for these Magic Knights, but he is the "Failed Knight" or "Worst One" who is failing because he has no magical skills. However, one day, he is challenged to a duel by Stella, a foreign princess and the "Number One" student. In this duel, "the loser must be obedient for life."

I feel like this is one of the better shows of this season in my opinion anyways have heard much about from other people. This show feels like a harem even though it not considering that Ikki chooses someone to be with in the third episode. That already sets it apart from other shows of the same nature. In all the battles Ikki fought I was excited even though I knew that he was going to win because he is op. Though Iv'e heard people call him an edgelord and that he is over powered I still like him for some reason. I'm pretty sure this show is bad, but there is just something I really like about it.

9/10

Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa ****** ga Umatteiru

Genre: Mystery
Studio: TROYCA
Episode Count: 12

A woman who really likes bones and a high school boy both find dead bodies and solve mysteries.

This show uses 1-2 episodes to uncover the mystery Sakurako solves everything with out any visible insight from the situation so the viewer couldn't even solve it if they tried. Put a poorly done over arching story to string them together that did not finish and set up for a second season that has not been confirmed as of yet. Had great visuals and I enjoyed coming back week-to-week to watch it.

7/10

Shomin Sample

Genres: Comedy, Ecchi, Harem, Romance, School
Studio: Silver Link
Episode Count: 12

Takes place in a school for rich sheltered girls that have never seen the out side world. So they abduct and enroll Kimito a commoner, under the misconception that he's gay with a muscle fetish so that he doesn't get with the other students, so that their students can get better acquainted with the real world.

A solid slice of life anime about being in a club with 4 girls and being the lone guy. Not to different from the anime haganai except that in this all the girls get their own episode so you get to know them better. None of the girls get chosen as per usual.

7/10

Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider

Genre: Mystery
Studio: A-1 Pictures
Episode Count: 11

Genius programmer Shiki Magata has been living in isolation at a research facility on a solitary island since she was a girl. Nagono University associate professor Souhei Saikawa and Moe Nishinosono wish to meet Shiki in person, so they visit the facility but get caught up in a murderous game.

This is one of the few animes that are actually mystery and what I mean by that is that it is actually solvable by the viewer. By the time killer was revealed I was stunned by the fact that with all the information presented you could actually figure out who did it. The show overall had a boring feel to me it probably could have been shorten down a couple episodes.

8/10

Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai

Genres: Action, Ecchi, Fantasy, Harem, Military, Romance, Supernatural
Studio: Silver Link
Episode Count: 12

The 35th Test Platoon of Antimagic Academy is one of the squads enrolled at an academy specializing in raising the witch hunters, whose job is to find and neutralize any magical threats! Unfortunately, they're a group of failures nicknamed the "Small Fry Platoon", a platoon formed from a bunch of self-centered people who have personality problems and can't cooperate. Will they manage to overcome their weaknesses and shine as the strongest platoon?

tl;dr Male witch hunter surrounded by bitches.

****** nothing of importance happens in the whole show each girl gets a couple episodes for them selves the remainder are them doing missions as a group. The girls arks really hit or miss I myself only liked a couple of them. The last arch goes over the main guys little sister and how she could potentially destroy the world. [Spoiler] For the last episode the sister turns into a giant pink slime monster in which they used 3dcg and it looks like complete **** it is the worse I have ever seen.[Spoiler]

5/10

Ushio to Tora

Genres: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Demons, Shounen, Supernatural
Studio: MAPPA
Episode Count: 26

Ushio thinks that his father's talk of an ancient ancestor impaling a demon on a temple altar stone with the legendary Beast Spear is nuts, but when he finds the monster in his own basement, Ushio has to take another look at the family legend! To save his friends and family from the invading spirits, Ushio is forced to release Tora from his captivity. But will the creature prove to be worse than the curse?

tl;dr Like Calvin & Hobbes if Hobbes was a tsundere trying to eat Calvin.

Feels like an old fashion shounen being that it has the monster of the week format and that it is old being that the manga is from the 90's the anime keeps the same look as if was to be animated back then. I would recommend you watch this if you like Part 3 of jojo because it has the same vibes.

9/10

Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid

Genres: Action, Ecchi, Fantasy, Shoujo Ai
Studio: Arms
Episode Count: 12

The "beautiful girl sexy battle action" anime is set on five artificial islands. Mamori is a "mermaid" transferred to one of those islands. When Mamori is attacked, a newly transferred girl named Mirei saves her. The enemy doesn't stop, however, and the two are soon cornered. Just when they think all hope is lost, Mirei kisses Mamori, and Mamori turns into a sword. Mirei then wields the sword and launches a counterattack against their enemies.

tl;dr Soul Eater: Gay Girls Edition

Theres not much to this it has uncensored anime titties, gay girls, and the ending had a badass action scene.

7/10

Young Black Jack

Genres: Drama, Historical, Seinen
Studio: Tezuka Productions
Episode Count: 12

The year is 1968, and the world is swept up in the Vietnam War and student protests. In this time of turmoil, a mysterious young man with white and black hair and a scar on his face is enrolled in medical school. His genius skills with a surgical knife achieve many a medical miracle and are getting noticed. This hero origin story reveals how this young man earned his medical degree and the name of Black Jack.

This a prequel to the anime Black Jack from Osamu Tezuka. Myself having not seen the original I can't say how well this correlates with it or if it is even necessary to have seen it prior. I enjoyed it seeing as this is a medical drama and I have not seen other animes go with this subject. It was interesting to see that it takes place in the Vietnam era I usually don't like historical anime because it does not feel modern. The main character goes to places of importance for this time period. He actually go'es to Vietnam as a field doctor and he goes to america as well when the civil rights movement was going on also it shows MLK which I thought I would never see in an anime.

I liked Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shouta, but thats beside the point (my opinion vs yours), you should still spoilertag that review!

I don't think it is much of a spoiler, because I just gave the general gist for what it is about there is still much more to it.

>Young Black Jack

Damn I thought it was brilliant, it was nice to see an anime character who struggled with morality for a change instead of these cookie cutter mcs who have a ray of light shining out their anuses. The anime can be watched without prior knowledge of the series and isn't exactly canon, for example Hyakki was a character from another of Tezuka's works.

I thought concrete revolutio was worthy of at least an 8, the animation was really nicely done and the unconventional art style was really nice to see as well. The non linear style of story telling was refreshing too although I will admit it was hard to follow at times, but still, when it all came together at the end and all the loose ends were tied it felt glorious. What I enjoyed most about it was that you didn't know who was wrong or right, you were made to think for yourself and was never implicitly told 'this is the good side, this is the bad side', once you finally decide who is right your perspective is changed again. I enjoyed being able to decide and figure out for myself who was the real bad guy, you don't get too do that all too often in anime

I gave Young Black Jack an 8/10

For Concrete Revolutio I feel the same as you but thing with it is that it dd not have a conclusive ending. It felt like it just stopped instead of full show they did a split cour. I personally struggled to finish it, it was also the reason why I posted this later then whet I should have

Ah my bad I must've looked at the above rating for some weird reason.

Fair enough, there've been plenty of shows/movies which while I thought were well written or well made, I still struggled to finish them. Unfortunately split cours are getting more common, I get that it allows the producers time to make more episodes but it's still frustrating when you get an unconclusive ending and have to wait a season or two for the rest.
