but a modern 9mm handgun would utilize a magazine, and any that would use a clip would look like they had a magazine stuck in it anyways, so only a magazine fed 9mm pistol could have killed him.
The owl in the two pictures I posted has an eyeball exactly like what you linked, and you can even make out the shape in the second image below. But some owls do have tube-like eyes. I don't know which ones do, though. I'm not an expert on owls.
More proof that nature is weirder than we expect. Besides the KAF implied ALL had them which is why I posted that, didn't notice someone else used the same image though.
Seems like every day there's stories that pop up and show exactly why the two most important principles of dealing with any kind of firearm are;
1. Don't point at anything you don't intend to shoot
2. Never put your finger on the trigger
I remember even reading about a firearms instructor who got himself killed violating both because he thought the pistol wasn't loaded and wanted to show off to students.
Yes of course, but it's also necessary to mention I believe. I really think that we gotta educate more people about firearms SPECIFICALLY SO **** LIKE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN!!!
I know dude, I own guns, I personally know these rules (sorry if I'm taking this the wrong way, it seems like you are trying to teach me? IDK). I just really wish everyone else does. It would really help people understand that guns aren't evil as well. It's only "evil" (dangerous) if you are a god damn retard with it.
"oh hey here is a tool that has the potential to kill me, lets pretend to do stuff with it that would result in my death woooo BANG"
i wasnt trying to teach you.i just usually find it odd when people reply to comments without adding anything into the convo. its sort of a pet peeve of mine.
Ah I see. Yeah that's understandable. I mean I thought I was adding, just some more info really. Also voicing my agreement with you. Seems like you were in the military too, I have that planned for my future and also would like to thank you for your service. Unless you fought for ISIS which I'm guessing you didn't.
i was part of finnish militia...honestly compared to american military...or militaries in general.
its ******* pathetic..i mean fj usually wanks up finnish military as this group of badasses who take names and chew ass...but its not.. its...really pathetic...
But still, you served your country. As an American I think that is honorable and still thank you. I always wanted to go to Finland, heard it's a beautiful country. Also you have no idea how much I want a Finnish M39 Mosin, but they're getting so expensive. I wouldn't pay more than 350 USD for a Mosin, even a Finnish one... They are going upwards of 600-700 for a nice one now.
You seem to forget what your country did in 1939. And later in WWII. You may have been fighting along side the Nazi's, but you were never truly fighting for them. More like using them as a platform for your own redemption... Shame the Russian's got that land back in the end.
in finland its not that special. military is mandatory...well that or jail.
and unfortunately i was changed to e class due to a few problems involving my leg and a fight...
even during ww2. it wasnt our military fighting. we didnt HAVE a military back then. what military we had was being trained in germanny for the continuation of the winter war. our "militia" was hastily put together from reindeer herders, farmers and all officers were just academy students and professors.
I think military service should be mandatory, or at least training for military. In the advent of attack people are better trained I think think it promotes camaraderie and teaches valuable lessons about the meaning of life (hence why I'm enlisting in the Marines).
Whats wrong with your leg? And you better have beat that dudes ass.
Ok yes, but your "Militia" of farmers and reindeer herders fought off 998,100 of the RED ******* ARMY.
it was a good feat. our snipers became legendary. and our airforce also produced the most aces related to the size of the airforce...not to mention larry thorne and other of the heroes..nowadays.
we arent allowed to shoot human shaped targets because "it might be harmful to the soldiers psyche"
technically its becoming illegal for sergenants to give commands without the consent of the recruits because...reasons?
our top military brass has to salute a soldier because that soldier fought in foreign legion MAKING HIM ONE OF THE ONLY PERSON IN THE MILITARY TO HAVE ACTUAL COMBAT EXPERIENCE
not to mention one of the captains once remarked to my pops to his great delight. "if russia was to invade finland, they would conquerror it in less than a week"
I think you mean Lauri Terni. heh. Listen to Sabaton? They have a song about him, Soldier of 3 Armies. Good song.
K maybe your military isn't up to snuff now a days, but if Russia invaded Finland I'm sure you would have Sweden Norway and the United States at your back. I mean you guys represent to the Western world what it means to stand up to the Reds, though sure maybe you couldn't do that today for reasons you mentioned.
Also I mean how much time and money and resources can you guys actually put into your military? I mean back then you didn't have much, no one expects you to have much today (no offense). Plus I mean I honestly doubt Finland will be going to war with anyone anytime soon.
Also considering the UN did nothing about Ukraine I think if I were you guys I'd look to your neighbors and the US before the UN... Heres to hoping thats never necessary
i think his finnish name is lauri törni. but he changed it once he went to serve us military to larry thorne. i thought you would have been more familiar with that one
and im quite sure A LOT of unruly drunkards outside of the military would put up quite a spectacular fight...and considering how well russia handled ukraine. im quite sure they would put up a good fight too.
dont get me wrong. finland still has great marksmen and certainly a lot "everyday badassses"
They just arent part of the military..
and as for military...technically its a defense force. so we only put in enough cash to feasibly consider it an armed force capable of defending the country from hostile take overs....idk any real amounts tho.
and im quite sure nordic countries will keep together....well okay sweden didnt do ******** the last time this happened...but i have hope...plus there is the whole difference in ukraine and finland that..we might be part of nato soon...its the second democratic vote we did/will do...so that might help
a gun is always handled in a way as if it was loaded. you never point it at another living being, unless you plan to shoot that thing.
also another thing they taught us in military is that whenever you are handed a gun, no matter what it looks like,no matter what the guy who hands it to you says: you check the chamber to see if it has one in the pipe.
Woot! I am not retarded. Yes, when I was 13, I watched a gore video of a newly married man getting a gun for his wedding, he laughed, put it to his head, the guy who gave it to him reached out to say no, but the groom squeezes the trigger and blows his ******* brains out in front of his wife and a bunch of kids.
ITS THE SAME THING NUMBNUTS.
They were originally named Australian Heelers. Later it was changed to Australian Cattle Dog which is their official named accepted by the AKC and worldwide including their country of origin, Australia. However some inbreds who still think they aren't the same breed of dog continue to call them Blue Heelers or Queensland Heelers.
Blue Heelers got that name because they bite at the cows heels when rounding up cattle.
I think Cattle Dog here refers to the fact that it was trained and used for this purpose.
**noonesperfect used "*roll picture*"** **noonesperfect rolled image** This cant be a fact comp, theres no fact about a soldier who goes and kills every enemy soldier with bare hands while having been shot 19 times. Clean up your act OP Nice facts tho
I bet you could make a pretty interesting Assassin's Creed game out of the first one. If you fixed everything else wrong with the franchise first. of course
For real tho, Unity made a ******** of improvements to the series after the launch bugs were fixed . They reintroduced some kind of difficulty as in I was very much able to be killed, unlike in AC 3 where you're a ******* god , and they removed the leash from many mission types as in you are no longer restricted to one way of completing assassinations and other things . If the next AC makes as many improvements as Unity did, I might actually get back into the games again.
For me, Unity took a couple steps forward and a couple of steps back.
I thought the story was absolutely atrocious for an Assassin's Creed game, the worst since AC3.
Let's ignore the microtransactions, the chests and the phone App, as I think Ubisoft learned their lesson about that **** and won't attempt it in the next game. Or at least I ******* hope so
The freerunning/parkour finally got upgraded. Having a button to choose between ascending and descending made things immensely better.
The combat difficulty was upped.
The skills you could upgrade were great too, since it meant that you could choose whether you wanted to go sneeki breeki or just frontal assault. Needing lockpicks for chests and doors is a good thing.
I never thought I'd have to list something like this as a bad thing, but the city is too big for a game with no means of alternative transportation.
Multiple routes for assassination missions are a good thing! Just not in the way that Unity did it. I don't want to be FORCEFED the multiple ways for me to complete a mission. Let me scour the surroundings for myself, let ME look for the clues. It just felt like needless handholding.
Eagle Vision was OP in this game.
The side mission structure was great for once. I still think it could've been interwoven better with the history of the era, though.
Helix points were a terrible mistake, one I hope they don't make again. Do away with the ingame "cheat shop".
Helix Rifts didn't really serve that much of a purpose and felt like a last minute addition to make the trailer look better.
Ever since the second AC game, they have been doing the whole "collect rare item, so you can unlock ancient armor" thing. It really needs to stop.
I'm sure I could list more, but these were just some of the ups and downs of Unity.
I haven't played Black Flag yet (though I really wanted to). But it still has the same issues from what I know in terms of guards and **** being laughably easy to go through, like in AC 3. But then again, if you were playing AC4 for anything other than the naval battles, you were doing **** wrong
Half the game is fighting boats, which is actually pretty fun since it isnt particularity easy to sink some ships, and they will always gang up on you. When boarding enemy ships I have actually noticed that the AI is way more aggressive. But when doing stuff on land i would just sound the alarm all the time instead of being sneaky cause its like 10 times easier. Enemies will always engage at no more than three at a time even if there are more than 10 surrounding you. As long as you kill the sniper tower dudes you can survive waves of enemies.
Well yea that just reinforces the "you play AC4 for the naval fights" thing.
I think Ubisoft should just take it further and make a separate game even more about the ships and **** . Maybe like some kind of Pirates of the Carribean Online minus the ********** and thus maybe not an MMO
This is probably taken from a novel that might have been popular in the 17th century. Come on, it was around 250 years ago, I wouldn't be surprised if it was fake.
