A kind of nerdy question... but if a tomato or other plant is white, doesn't it reflect all colors of light? How does it get its nutrients from the sun?
User avatar #28 to #25 - ainoninom (02/22/2014) [-]
The stem and leaves. Only green stuff absorbs the sunlight.
User avatar #53 to #28 - ubadubba (02/23/2014) [-]
Ah, that makes sense. For some reason I was thinking that the whole plant was white! Good thinking.

Oceans do not produse oxygen!!!!! That your "70%" oxygen is mostly produced by algae/seaweed which resides there. Don't boast with the knowledge you don't have!!!
User avatar #47 to #40 - lordgeneral (02/22/2014) [-]
algae and seaweed come from the ocean
#48 to #40 - chrisel (02/22/2014) [-]
The oceans have a lot of plants that can live underwater like seaweed, because the ocean is so big and there no humans that can ruin plant life at 5000 meter under water there is is just a enormous quantity of plants producing oxygen.
