I'm sure that movie would have been ******* awesome if they had cast anyone but Jaden Smith. Will Smith did great as he usually does. "All my limbs are ****** up and I'm ******* dying, but I'm totally calm and collected." I'm sure other actors could have pulled that off, but still he did a great job.
Also if Will Smith played a different role. His best point his how good he is at projecting emotion, but for some reason plays a character who refuses to show any except stoic determination.
Your cousin is retarded. She was everything wrong with the era depicted by that movie. She had irresponsible sex (both getting AIDS and having a child out of wedlock), abused drugs, and above all didn't appreciate our protagonist for all the good he had done until she'd gone and ****** up her whole life while he was living the dream.
She was a foil to Forrest. An independent, intelligent, beautiful person who could have accomplished anything but washed out. In the beginning of the movie you honestly couldn't be blamed for sympathizing with her for turning down Forrest in highschool. She was out of his league. But as the story progressed, he grew into a better person while she declined.
Her only redeeming factor is that by the end she regretted her actions and seemingly atoned before dying.

Thus he missed one of the major themes of the movie. I mean, just look at Lieutenant Dan. The man was beautiful before Vietnam. Did you see his legs? Works of ******* art. And they get blown away. He loses his aesthetic appeal and for a while he is completely ruined by it. But he gets better. He learns to be a good person, marries a Vietnamese woman...
One of the themes of the movie is that vanity means so little. Beauty fades, but character stays with you for your whole life. Forrest was endearing because of his nature. He wasn't smart, he wasn't pretty, but damn if he wasn't a good person. That's what charmed his life. The relationships he fostered due to his exceptional nature.
**itskennyandjosh used "*roll picture*"** **itskennyandjosh rolled image**I was rooting for jenny to jump while she was on the balcony in that one scene but on the otherhand i was hoping she'd get better, now i'm just wishing she would've jumped
But i loved that war scene I love war movies, and i really loved saving private ryan
An orphan brings his family's dark past to school for 6 straight years.
Or
Orphan boy runs around a magical school like he owns the place. Then the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher dies... again. I know... I know... technically not true. But please don't murder me over it.
