I'm back with another recruitment post. I understand alot of you aren't interested and have alot of negative opinions about Eve, and that's fine. This is for those who are interested in joining a corporation or starting Eve for the first time.
For those who may be thinking of getting into Eve, I will start with the negatives. This game is very involved and requires a great deal of micromanagement. It's slow to start, very confusing, and downright aggrivating. You will find yourself stuck, you will make mistakes, and you WILL lose ships.
All that being said, here are the positives. Eve is very involved, for a short time. Once you've figured out the skill system, things go alot smoother. You'll hear Eve bashers talk about spreadsheet simulator, and in a way, they're right. While fitting a **** to suite your play style, you'll click through countless windows finding the best possible equipment to max your offensive, defensive, or ecm capabilities. Outside of the station, that's where the spreadsheets end. And where another complaint arises.
"But players can gank your ship anywhere" is another phrase I hear alot. And it's true to an extent. A player cam challenge you, legally, anywhere they like. However, if a player were to outright attack you, they have a whole slew of problems coming their way. Are you in a corp? If yes, anyone in your corp now has free kill rights on that ship, meaning they can kill that anywhere they like with no penalty. And that's long term, short term, if you're in high sec space, there's Concorde, the space police! By time they fire a second salvo. They're locked down, can't move, can't jump, and can't fight. In 10 seconds its game over and your shields have barely noticed the attack. Eve is a fairly safe place for players if you don't wander into the wrong systems.
Making money is actually one of the easiest things to do in this game. Missions at first may only net 50k isk, but bring a mobile trator unit with you, and all you have to do is kill. The tractor beam will pull in and loot any wreckage within 100km. Making a 50k mission into a 100k mission. As you become more formidable, you'll be able to tackle harder missions. By level 3 missions, you'll be pulling 5 to 10 mill every 30 minutes with a tractor unit and salvagers.
Prefer making money without effort, start mining. Once you've placed yourself in a mining barge and strip miners, you'll be pulling 30 mil an hour while watching YouTube.
All that being said, I am looking for players, new or veteran, to join my corp. It will be fleet oriented to tackle hard missions and wormhole space. You aren't going to be required to play every day, I myself play on Sunday almost exclusively. However, I will jump on during the week to help new players get oriented need be.
If anyone is interested please comment or pm me to learn more.

I have a fairly skilled character I i quit playing on a year ago. He can fly fully decked out cover ops and ships up to battleship. I purely spec'd exploration though so not sure how much help I'd be.

That's perfect actually. We can use a good scout to find good wormholes

I have a character I created in 2011 which I've been on and off of. He has 26m+ sp (according to aura on my phone, which I still have lol) and specializes in Galente marauders (ergo armor), but I haven't played in a while and barely remember the mechanics of the game, plus I have like 300m isk to my name so I'm not exactly filthy rich. Don't know how much it would help if I hopped on.

If you are interested, any player cam definitely help. Especially gallente BS. Looking to build a decent fleet and any ship/player is welcome

Would like some more details about your corp, player base, experience, available jobs, location, etc. if that would be possible

Definitely. My friend and II started the corp a while back to make it easier to keep up with shared loot. We recently got into WH space and learned quickly how profitable it was. Our first two wormholes net us about 130 mil in about 3 hours.
Of course, the sleeper drones that live there are aggressive and hard to kill. So we decided to start expanding.
We have an office in Itamo near the jita system. It has a good level 2 and 3 agent I use to train new players.
Since we will operate as a fleet, player will need to be able to fill certain roles. Since sleep drones can deal alot of damage, we definitely need a good tank. We are also looking for missile boats(cruise/light/heavy) to control enemy population.
I myself will be piloting a dominix drone boat.

I was hoping to net a Kronos in the near future, and I can definitely tank with my current build. You've sparked my interest.

Never done WH, but I know a bit about them. Would still need to set myself back into the mechanics of the game, though.

>eve is actualy a facebook game
>you get skills in the typical "wait a certain time to unlock" way
also its extremely boring
>i played for 4 months as a miner and it was the most boring 4 months of my life ever
this game forces you to multibox to be efficient which makes you pay additional money for more accounts (you need like 3 to be efficient at anything)
>Dont even dream about getting game time for ingame money, its possible but you would have to play 24/h for entire month and as a new player and without unlocked skills it would be impossible for ou anyway
>people will lie to you that you can start doing stuff instantly in eve but its a big fat lie, you are always behind few months pay/time wall of skill training to unlock content
>the game is slowly dying, playerbase drops with each month
>the game is a jobafter you come back from real job

You are wrong on so many levels.
>plex is expensive due to corporate hoarding. Happens from time to time.
>new players can drive almost anything aside from using certain ships and equipment from the get go.
>a new player can build about 2mil an hour the first day. Train salvage and buy a mobile tractor unit, it goes to about 4 mil.
>takes about 2 weeks to fly and fit a battleship.
>just pay the $15 a month like every other mmo?
>multiboxing to be efficient? I've had one character for 2 years now. I can net 40-50mil an hour in a wormhole, 23 an hour mining and watching pornh.... YouTube. Yes, YouTube.
>sounds more like an inefficient player to me.

My biggest turn off towards EVE is that everything seems extremely time based. How do you catch up to the people who are running the show when upgrades literally take a set amount of time? I might be interested... as I would like to get to the state where I can watch YouTube on the side, but instead YouTube = homework/real work, since I need the slight distraction to get any decent work done.

Also, is it possible to pay for game time through in game money easily?
#5 to #4 - truenick [OP](10/08/2015) [-]
Skills and production are the only time based aspects and unfortunately there is no real way to catch up to those who have played for 5 plus years. As for game time, plex has gotten outrageous and I can't even pay in game anymore lol. I know it sucks but it coat no more than any other mmo and ccp has done an amazing job of adding new content over the past couple years including tech 3 destroyers

Aww, I don't think I can jump on the EVE bandwagon then, though you may have sparked my interest in returning to FFXIV.

Alright. There is a 30 day free trial for eve if you would like to try it out

I have two accounts. One character who can fly a Providence and another character my main, who can fly exhumers, an Orca, Gallente battleships, the SoE exploration ships, and is currently working towards perfect flying and stealthies. PM your name in game and if I can bring myself to do it I'll re-up and message you.

This seems like a pretty sweet game, and I've been looking to get in to this genre of game for a while. I think I'll definitely at least try the trial. Is this a game which would be better suited for a joystick rather than mouse and keyboard?
#17 to #16 - truenick [OP](10/09/2015) [-]
Actually, most the piloting is done automatically, however they have been trying to implement new piloting controls for those who enjoy dog fighting. Takes some getting used to but very fun
