I might just be spouting **** but, trying to scold a bird probably wont work. They (or any animal in fact) wont really respond to it. If he's running around throwing things on the floor, it might be because he wants stimulation or something to play with. (Hence the throwing cool shiny coins) anyways what i'm getting at here is, instead of filming him doing it and yelling at him, just pick him up, try cuddling with him. Give him some of his favorite foods and buy him some neat toys. Try bringing his attention AWAY from the things you don't want him doing, and towards good behaviors instead of shaming.
I have a bird that does this with coins and yeah, they do this because either it gets them attention or they're playing around with something that makes cool noises. (like falling coins and freaking out people)
They most always stop when you simply quiet down and take away the coins, but I feel the camerawoman really didn't care because the bird does this a ton of times (case and point, knowing that the coins were under the lid and ripping that off) and was just freaking out to play along.
God damn I love birbs. I have one as well, she doesn't care much for coins, she like making microwave beeping noises to get attention. As to refer back to my earlier statement you're probably right, it might just be her way of playing with him and its just something he loves to do. I was only referring to it as such a bad thing because of the other videos with Eric in them and that woman sounds pissed off. What species of bird do you own? Cockatiel owner here.
I have an African Grey that also likes to make beeping noises when he wants attention . His latest go to is running through all the R2-D2 sounds he knows.
