Oh how I miss the days when there were no flying mounts in azeroth, I would always go to goldshire on my horde character, glitch my way up on the goldshire's inn's roof, and just kill low lvls with pvp on all day.

BoA gear really killed it for me. getting **** talked by a level 10 who main did nothing but pvp because his gear was so more "uber".

Raiding in MoP:

> entire guild realm transferred because realm dead
> too broke to go with them
> have to settle being a ****** casual
> queue for 4 raids
> long ass 30+ min queues
> look away for a minute to change song, all 4 queues popped
> get off for the day
> do this every day til Tuesday
> happens every week

guess all games have an end eventually, especially online games.

I played during vanilla and TBC, I quit before WotLK came out. And from what I've heard from my friends who continued playing, I'm pretty sure that vanilla and TBC were the best era for WoW. Karazhan best raid ever

Looking at this just got me thinking, and im wondering if anyone can tell me, whats the best, or atleast, a good WoW server for horde? I usually play on Sylvannas, but... Blizzard ended the horde with one final blow by allowing free transfer. I didnt take it though. Went down with the ship, but i might swim back up for freedom.

I remember this picture when it was put on the forums by the guy who took it. All it tells me is that he never made other friends. its not like the population has decreased, there are still awesome people in WoW.

Cata sucked. We all know it. Except Uldum. Pandaria is actually good and Warlords looks very, very promising. I'm more excited for it than I have been since Wrath was announced.

If you ever feel like getting into WoW again, I'm always looking to add to my friends list. Just message me.

better then wow easy. guild wars 2, tera, never winter, eso (its looking good so far), dc universe (the questing is ten times better then wow even though over all it is shorter). i could keep going but i know your just gonna rip these games a new a-hole because i somehow insulted your heroine dealer.
User avatar #416 to #412 - jellytamer ONLINE (04/12/2014) [-]
guild wars 2 feels like an entirely different game. Never played terra, never winter is just too simple compared to wow, you only have 4-5 active skills and the entire game feels watered down compared to wow. never heard of eso, and dc universe is entirely different too however i have not personally tried this one either.
Also i havent played wow for like 8-10months, its just always been the best mmorpg i have ever palyed

User avatar #236 to #173 - ebontopaz (04/11/2014) [-]
I've played since Vanilla, and I have to say... MoP was decent, at best.

The quest zones were beautiful, and the entire place was really story-driven. I like that. However, they screwed up by doing this in what is essentially a filler expansion. Sure, we took down an Old God, but I really feel like he and the Sha were just shoe-horned into the expansion to make it seem less "filler". And the Timeless Isle... Good god, don't get me started on how badly they screwed up with creating that. Just two days of grinding gets you into SoO instantly... That is not okay. Just look at the amount of completely clueless players in there these days. And the early level 90 boosts only added to the problem.

And then there's WoD... I just can't get myself to get excited for it. Everything we've seen so far looks beautiful, but in turn we get no new class or race to play with, we have to fight Garrosh again, and the entire story serves no purpose whatsoever. While Y'shaarj and the Sha felt shoe-horned into MoP, WoD feels like an entire expansion that's been shoe-horned in.

As a fan of the lore, having two filler expansions in a row is just too much for me. I'm paying for World of Warcraft, not World of Bleachcraft. I'd rather go play TESO or Realm Reborn instead.
User avatar #261 to #236 - demonchain ONLINE (04/11/2014) [-]
Your research must be horrible. We don't fight Garrosh again, we don't. They said that specifically at Blizzcon. Besides, we have no idea where the story is gonna go from here. Who knows what the end boss of Draenor will be.
User avatar #409 to #261 - ebontopaz (04/12/2014) [-]
Blizzard specifically says a lot at Blizzcon. Remember when they said that Pandaren would be in Burning Crusade? Or when they said that they were going to implement a Dance Studio in Wrath? Or how about when they announced Illidan as the final boss of BC? And best of all, how they had no intention to ever open up a cash shop or sell level boosts?

And even if I'm wrong... There is literally nothing else that I've got wrong. Whether or not Garrosh is a main villain or not, it's impossible for this story to ever be relevant to WoW as a whole, without a lore-shattering ass-pull from Blizzard. And then there's the fact that the entire expansion pretty much centers about Orcs. Because they haven't had enough focus yet.

Players are actually praying for any mayor Burning Legion influence. That's how desperate some players are to actually feel like they're doing something worthwhile. Of course, Blizzard officially announced that their influence and appearances in Draenor would be minor at most... But we'll see about that.

Blizzard doesn't make reliable statements, even at Blizzcon. The good old Blizzard that could be trusted on its word died when Activision took over. Trust me when I say this: Garrosh is either going to be one of the major villains of WoD, or he's going to be the major villain.
User avatar #410 to #409 - demonchain ONLINE (04/12/2014) [-]
When Activision took over? Never mind, I'm just gonna stop right there. Look, if you have lost trust in Blizzard, fine, don't play their game. I'm actually not really up for a discussion to be honest.

Man i dunno what to say. It was being expected that the 07 release woudn't compete with the original 07 scape. but to be honest, there aren't as many bots as there are in the original scape. plus that since 2009-2010 when rs began spiraling downwards a lot of people quit for good. not to mention eoc ruined the entired game.but to me, the 07 scape still has alot of the felling it gave me when i played it .plus the mods are working on the bots issue while still updating slightly the game. it really depends on the perspective.pic unrelated
User avatar #350 to #250 - takemythumb (04/11/2014) [-]
I'm not really sure about the bot issue tho.
Because as hard as i like to say it, the Jagex company is money hungry in my eyes..
Before oldschool was releasing again, everyone on the forums complained and begged to do something about the bots first.
So much people begged that Jagex should've seen it. but they didn't seem to care, and i pretty much can understand why.

If they ban a bot/goldfarmer, they will keep comming back no matter what.
So i think Jagex saw some profit in that.
So if they ban like 150 bots each day.
and membership cost around $10.
150*10= $1500 each day
I think that's where the problem lies the most

As much as i liked playing oldschool, i don't really wanted to be part of this kind of community anymore.
User avatar #407 to #350 - fluttershyismine (04/12/2014) [-]
I agree 100% with you. What i'm trying to say is that allthough botting has taken it's toll on the community, it's still not dead, and it still brings back the memories. Plus knowing that small updates spice up the game( like the new slayer bosses in wildy) is something. i still get part of the feeling i got back in 2007-2009. It will NEVER be the same tho

Only reason I don't flame on TESO is because deep down within I hope the profit will go to the development of either the new Fallout or the next REAL Elder Scrolls game.

I mean come on, WoW eats larger MMORPG's for breakfast, however sad that is.
#18 to #4 - anon (04/10/2014) [-]
All the profit goes to Zenimax.
If ESO succeeds, Zenimax learns that it can deliver utter garbage and still profit from the brand, resulting in Elder Scrolls becoming as rehashed (without improvement) as CoD.
If ESO fails, Zenimax blames the brand and doesn't give Bethesda as much as they would otherwise for a sequel.

Regardless, the Elder Scrolls brand is damaged by being tied to such a piece of garbage.

the only thing for me about ESO is that it looks and feels too much like a generic MMO in the elder scrolls universe, instead of an elder scrolls game that is an MMO.
Dont get me wrong, it is fun and all, but it just isnt an "Elder scrolls" game. It bears the names, the places and lore, but not the gameplay or experience you get from any other elder scrolls game.

User avatar #253 to #147 - clannadqs (04/11/2014) [-]
That's not how top-tier MMOs are. Take WoW for example. Character models react differently to almost every attack used on them and it is incredibly fluid.

it is quite fluid, but ESO npc react more than WoW npcs. even death animations change regarding how and with what you stroke them.

I've watched multiple videos of ESO myself and I can safely say that the combat system, animations, and overall feel look terrible. Looks to me like you got exactly what you asked for.

I thought that was the point. Original comment complained about getting an MMO instead of a multiplayer game, and second comment said it was the same, so improbable was using sarcasm to point out that it isn't.

those games... MMO... u wot m8?

sarcarsm doesn't work on the internet the way it works in your head. that's why we gotta indicate that **** here
or you could be just plaint stupid... hell if know

see? ...yea i'm gonna go with stupid
#100 to #89 - anon (04/11/2014) [-]
Not all multiplayer games are MMOs, as #68 would suggest. With his/her logic, all multiplayer games are MMOs, when they're not. #76 was making a joke about that. Use your context clues brah.
User avatar #105 to #100 - kermo (04/11/2014) [-]
Not all multiplayer games are MMOs, but all MMOs are multiplayer games.

which means that if you wanted a multiplayer game and got an MMO then you can't really complain.

I guess that's what #68 and the other anon meant
User avatar #342 to #105 - lvlonemeepo (04/11/2014) [-]
On a serious note though would you rather go questing with a group of your friends on skyrim or play some lackluster mmo where they had to cut back alot of things, and everyone is the chosen one. MMO's like this take away the feeling. I'd rather have an open world small multiplayer game like skyrim that would be fun, not a cluster **** of chosen ones..
User avatar #390 to #342 - imostlyroll (04/11/2014) [-]
"cluster **** of chosen ones", seems like an oxymoron to me. Probably would be more accurate to say "the chosen... wait how many are in this land again?" but I do agree with what you say, rather play an rpg with close friends than complete strangers
User avatar #339 to #105 - lvlonemeepo (04/11/2014) [-]
I wanna complain though.
User avatar #117 to #68 - kyoutu (04/11/2014) [-]
Massive multiplayer and multiplayer have different meanings, I don't want to run around with 300 other noobs. We just want to explore with a group of friends in a immersive world which is hard to do with 30 noobs on screen at any one time doing 360's from trees.

Also it plays nothing like an ES game so it's nothing like we asked for.

A game with multiplayer and an MMO are different things entirely.

I believe he meant we wanted a game not focues entirely on online, but an Elder Scrolls game with an online aspect or some kind, I think.

People that constantly beat ESO for being buggy are stupid ******* .

IT WAS A BETA, OF COURSE THERE WERE GOING TO BE BUGS. People that complained about them on reddit or /v/ were not helpful and that was not the purpose for the beta tests (2 of the tests were stress testing and a small but of bug extermination). They don't put up tests for you to complain about how bad the game is or how much you hate it because it isn't the traditional ES experience, it's for ACTUALLY TESTING THE GAME SO IT IT'LL BE READY AT RELEASE.

In it's current state, ESO is very entertaining. The amount of freedom in the game is great (even if you are restricted to some areas based on your alliance). There's only one quest that I know is bugged, and it isn't necessary for game progression. PVP is fun (poorly balanced, yes, i'll give you that, but fun anyway) and people who constantly complain about bad connection just have bad internet, because my internet is fine and I suffer no issues. The game is mostly bug-free and all the bugs that still remain will most likely be ironed out, and even so the bugs that exist do not break the game completely like some other games I know of.

Oh, and if you like skyrim more than Online, good for you, but some people like the freedom of being able to travel in a province that isn't filled with buff nordic assholes that don't have a bit of racial tolerance

It's also that it came out a ******* week ago and people expect it to be bug free and perfect.
World of Warcraft has been around for 10 ******* years and I still encounter bugs.

Most people are basing a game off of Beta and it changed a lot since then ( i was a beta tester) and much more enjoyable now.
#87 to #69 - acheryus (04/11/2014) [-]
I for one am enjoying ESO immensely, mostly due to the crafting system as that is my favorite part of all the TES games. Argonian Heavy is really cool btw
User avatar #104 to #87 - nightmaren (04/11/2014) [-]
Crafting's only in Skyrim, outside of ESO, apart from spell-making, so I'm not sure what you mean by 'all the TES games'.
User avatar #345 to #104 - acheryus (04/11/2014) [-]
I know the crafting has only been in the last few but it is my favorite part in any that include it. an I loved the spell-crafting in oblivion
User avatar #399 to #345 - nightmaren (04/11/2014) [-]
That's what I'm saying, "last-few" doesn't apply because it's only in one game other than ESO.
#404 to #399 - acheryus (04/12/2014) [-]
spell crafting was in morrowind and in oblivion
User avatar #406 to #404 - nightmaren (04/12/2014) [-]
I don't really think one spell-creation system in a few games warrants saying "the crafting system is my favourite part of this game series" but that's just me.
