Feminism is one thing but merging it fat acceptance is the final nail in the coffin. I really don't understand how anyone in the right mind can glorify the destruction of their health when obesity is current major epidemic. Do whatever the **** you want with your own body but for the love of god, don't encourage it or sugarcoat it. There's a reason why being overweight or obese is undesirable and there's a reason why certain beauty standards exist. It's in our biological imperative to seek out the slim fit women, who'd produce healthiest offspring that'd ensure the highest rate of survival for our passed on genes. I would not wanna breed with someone who's unable to take care of themselves and one who's prone to get a heart attack at 30. "Body policing"- no one is ******* forcing you to conform to these standards! And no, society doesn't owe you **** to regard you attractive.

Being fat may have been once sexually desirable during time periods when famine was around where the malnourished poor would die off whilst the wealthy chubs would live on but now, it's essential to stay relatively fit and healthy where any old poor schmoe can be fat. It's not empowering whatsoever where it's scientifically proven that obesity is linked to depression due the physiological changes of hormones (decrease in serotonin activity) and immune system that occur. Putting obesity aside, the thing that especially pisses me off is that thanks to these feminist cunts, anyone who weightlifts, runs or diet in order to attain an ideal body is branded as a slave to the media with the whole stigma attached to being insecure, a mere puppet and psychologically inferior. If it was a hot slim women appearing naked in a perfume ad, all the feminazis would rant about sexual objectification. If it were a fat woman, they would laud her for being "big and beautiful". God ******* dammit, raise standards for the oppressed, not lower them for the entitled!

but early humans wanted larger women because it showed that they were the ones that were well fed and thus could support the offspring. That's why all of the early stone figures of women, such as the Venus of Willendorf, are depicted as, what we would call today, Obese.

Is this post here so we can do something about it? Unless these posts lead anywhere, I think it might be worth it to just stop posting them and forget about things that make us rage inside. I'm pretty sure most people want to see funny stuff, and this kind of anger inducing stupidity might be a bit too far on the unhappy side. I like that OP's spreading awareness, but do people on this site really see these and suddenly become motivated to go out and change the world? Or do we end up feeling a bit more depressed about how many stupid things we find in the world? Maybe we should discuss these issues in a place that isn't meant for funny. Unless these radical feminist ideas actually change how we run society (I doubt they will), it isn't worth our time to get worked up over them.

TL;DR I'm tired of seeing posts that just make me angry/sad/disappointed/like punching certain people in the face.

Nothing against you, OP

This applies to any post that is obviously not funny/interesting/or even really relevant to our lives, eg. Celebrities no one cares about doing dumb ****

If you legitimately like posts like these, feel free to dislike my comment

Don't stop them. By this train of thought, they will start protecting fat dudes, physically sick dudes, mentally sick dudes, and eventually all dudes. I say we leave them alone and let them become better people by themselves.

I know this crazy-ass bitch that said and I quote "Ally is not an identity category. Ally has never been an identity category. Ally will never be an identity category. At best, it's something you choose to live into daily without expecting accolades. At worst, it's a fiction invented to re-center discourse around the "good members of the oppressive class" rather than on the marginalized and the system that marginalizes them. **** Ally."

She's basically saying **** people who are straight that support homosexuals and transgenders and advocate on their behalf just because they're straight and that they don't matter at all in the struggle for equality.

It's the equivalent of saying that the United States had nothing to do with the Korean War because it wasn't about us.

Could you tell me the source of this gif please?
User avatar #42 to #22 - houseofbrick (11/01/2013) [-]
I'm sorry, I have no idea. I have a friend who practically lives on /a/ that finds a lot of gifs for me.
User avatar #41 to #8 - everyziggy (11/01/2013) [-]
Well ally and friend are synonymous so it makes sense that she doesn't recognize that allies or friends exist since she has never had one before with that attitude.

then thumb it down. That's the point of the thumb system. More people seem to like them, than dislike them, and this forum provides a good outlet for discussion on the subject.

But by all means man, if you don't enjoy them, thumb them down. I try to limit the amount of them I post now and try to mostly post funny, but it's a topic I feel strongly about and like to present my findings to others.

User avatar #34 to #29 - thumbsdenied (11/01/2013) [-]
i belive its saying that fat men are seen as feminine, because thay have lady like features as man boobs. and because this feminists fight for the fat men because they are feminine
User avatar #39 to #34 - everyziggy (11/01/2013) [-]
Not exactly, I think the retarded point they are trying to make is that fat men are seen as feminine and so when people make fun of a man for being fat they are actually bashing him for being feminine and thereby bashing feminism. It makes about as much sense as a cock flavored lollipop.
User avatar #40 to #39 - thumbsdenied (11/01/2013) [-]
ooh, now i understand this post, and wow, thats the most idiotic thing ive heard for awhile

If anything, a fat guy is more masculine. I'm pretty sure I don't need to outline the whole "Caveman+lots of food ---> Fat + hungry woman lookin' for luvin' " scenario.

in a round about way being the expectations that are put on men to not be fat, is a feminist issues because fat men are picked on for being female-like ie man tits ( just a guess. thats what they words seem to be pointing to anyways)
