I thought the ending of Season 4 was really good. But doing so, they just shat on the books. It wasn't a small twink, it was a massive change.

hurr they don't follow the books durr, well guess what, they don't have to. I don't give a damn about what took place in the books and I really liked the whole 4th season

They didn't just **** all over the books, they went to tacobell, ordered the whole menu and held it in for a month then proceeded to make sweet feces fetish porn on it for an hour. I mean didn't they cut out both Victorian and Euron Greyjoy, lady stoneheart, and make bloodraven look like he is a punk.

I'm dissapointed with how the show is going downhill, fast.

the show is not going downhill. It changed from the books, but in no way does that make the show bad.

That was to be expected.
Since books have too many time skips, they can't wait for the actors to become older, like they do in the books.

They've been saying it for awhile, GoT will end up with a completely different plot from the books.

They even are rumored to remove Lady Stoneheart from the story completely. Also, the way they did Tyrion and Tywin scene just pissed me off. He was talking about his wife in the books, in this he talked about Shae. The fight between Brienne and Sandor was also unnecessary. Like you said, by the end of the series, it will be a completely different story.

Oh my god, you'd think that they are two different but related stories based in the same universe since they don't have the capability to follow the books line for line.

What bastards they for adapting the book.

If they remove Lady Stoneheart I swear to god I will kick a puppy. not really I love puppies bit you get the idea.

They have to, the show will become too silly for show fans.
I mean they changed all the "silly" characters to make them more serious.

the change from wights to skeletons in bran's story was pretty damn silly looking

Reminded me of Draugr

I don't remember that, which episode ?
User avatar #44 to #43 - IAmManbearpig (06/21/2014) [-]
last one, right outside the weirwood tree when jojen died
User avatar #47 to #44 - pulluspardus (06/21/2014) [-]
oh didn't watch the last episode, last episode I watched was 8th and lost interest after that.
User avatar #48 to #47 - IAmManbearpig (06/21/2014) [-]
ah... they are pulling some ******** , just got to accept that it's only based on the books, which is tough.
User avatar #52 to #48 - pulluspardus (06/21/2014) [-]
To be honest they were putting ******** since the "red wedding" and even before that when little finger.
User avatar #53 to #52 - IAmManbearpig (06/21/2014) [-]
yeah, but Daenarys' storyline is still pretty awful. since Drogo died, hers has been going downhill.

in the book or the show?
User avatar #55 to #54 - IAmManbearpig (06/21/2014) [-]
both. mostly the show, the house of the undying was pretty neat in the book.
come to think of it, it's really just when she gets to Meereen.
User avatar #57 to #55 - pulluspardus (06/21/2014) [-]
The house of the Undying in the show was so anti-climatic, and I was bummed by that episode because almost half of it was pointless sex scenes.
User avatar #59 to #57 - IAmManbearpig (06/21/2014) [-]
yeah, the books are undoubtedly better, but i think the show is still pretty good.

It's starting to sound like a damn fanfiction. Something George R.R Martin hates.

Lady Stoneheart is very central to Brienne's story. Removing her is liking pulling one card from a house of cards.

I actually liked the fight between Sandor and Brienne. Dying that way was far better then succumbing to sepsis.

Having read the books, I kind of like when they change stuff. The show still manages to surprise me and I like the idea that Martin gets to change things (given how long he's been writing this).

I lost my **** at the Brienne/Hound scene. Loved it and thought it was very interesting to have those two fight over Arya. Also the Hound's declaration that he was taking care of Arya was very touching and I like what it added. I also like that Arya gets to at least briefly meet a strong, female warrior. It was a great addition in my opinion and I'm glad that others liked the change too!
