Desmond Miles is the name of the protagonist in Assassin's Creed.
miles are also a unit of distance used in america, corresponding approximately to 1.6 km.
in Canada the metric system is used, hence why miles is replaced with kilometres.

Is it just the US that didn't adopt the metric stuff?
User avatar #46 to #2 - pokemonstheshiz (01/13/2014) [-]
we use both
Imperial Units are british originally, and Britain didn't officially change to metric until the 1900's. The difference is we kept imperial units as well as also using metric. Both have their pluses and minuses, idk why people get so butthurt over it
