The content implies that it's the best way to cheat on a test
not the best way to pass one
so, if for example you HAD to cheat this would be the best way
of course, studying is more efficient

In my exams last month they made us tear labels of water bottles for this very reason
User avatar #5 to #2 - evilanakie (07/10/2014) [-]
same here
in the tests i do you can only have unlabeled things
pencils will be handed out to you
water bottles will be provided
limbs will be checked for markings
glasses held up to light to see printing (which was a bitch cause my glasses are transition lenses and they thought it was a cheating method, i had to explain what they were)
they even ask you to remove your shoes before entering the test room
they test you one by one

I'm a teaching assistant for my university which means I usually help out during exams; it'll be damn easy spotting someone reading their water bottle in the middle of a test.

Well, cheating turns you black. Evidence:the picture
#10 - applescryatnight (07/10/2014) [-]
yeah there are better ways to cheat.

math tests- use a graphing calculator. to to prgm and make a new program. just write notes in there. then archive that program. if your teacher tells you to wipe your calculator, do it, then unarchive the program. it wont be wiped if archived, and when you go to edit the file all your notes will be there

That's fine for high school, but I dread multiple choice in my uni classes. They are usually crafted so that inference is impossible, and hell, even if you could write the answer out, you may not be able to figure out which of your available options actually reflects that answer.

BSing essay questions is equally difficult, as you are invariably writing about something your prof has spent the last 20 years researching.

When we go into exams, we aren't allowed to have that paper on any drinks we bring in.
#30 - tastycrisps ONLINE (07/11/2014) [-]
All major exams I've taken in the past couple years required the water bottles to not have a label for this exact reason.

User avatar #29 - Lintutu (07/11/2014) [-]
this is the reason why you are not allowed to have your own drinks/pens/pencils on major tests. because teachers are aware of the cheating methods. also, stop ******* cheating and study for once
User avatar #23 - joeyliquid (07/11/2014) [-]
Doesn't work in England, they make you remove all labels.
Also all bags must be see-through.
User avatar #22 - loonquawl (07/11/2014) [-]
All these posts about teachers making students peel the labels off drinks because of this makes me feel old...
All we did was get one of those semi-clear binders where you could see the front page if you pushed down on it, and stuck it under our desks with out backpacks..
It worked.
User avatar #21 - loonquawl (07/11/2014) [-]
I had a math teacher once who would post answers on the wall and not tell us about them. He stuff all over the walls, it was usually hard to find.

When I went for an exam you were only allowed bottles of water with no label
User avatar #13 - nudybooty (07/11/2014) [-]
Once you get into high school they don't allow bottles on your desk for tests that actually matter.
#15 to #13 - noschool ONLINE (07/11/2014) [-]
it really depends on the teacher, my Spanish teacher was so paranoid she put a desk between every person while my English teacher didn't care if we had food or drinks.
User avatar #16 to #15 - nudybooty (07/11/2014) [-]
Weird. Every teacher I've had when they gave up an important quiz they wouldn't start the test until everyone only had a pencil and an eraser on their desk.
#17 to #16 - noschool ONLINE (07/11/2014) [-]
like i said it just depends, i've had teachers like the one you describe and i've had ones that don't give a **** , the latter group has been a minority but after years of school i have had a couple of them.
User avatar #18 to #17 - nudybooty (07/11/2014) [-]
I just assumed all teacher did it because all of mine did it. I think it has to do with me being in classes filled with shifty as **** kids.
#19 to #18 - noschool ONLINE (07/11/2014) [-]
I think that has to do with it, cause the teachers that didn't care taught my AP classes, i guessed they just assumed all kids that take ap classes would good and never cheat so they weren't to strict, which is BS but that's beside the point.
User avatar #27 to #19 - nudybooty (07/11/2014) [-]
We go to completely opposite schools. They don't give a **** about the lower classes but they watch you like a hawk in AP
User avatar #12 - formeranony (07/10/2014) [-]
Holy **** , that's ingenious.
#9 - pleasejustdie (07/10/2014) [-]
They make you take the label off these days so you can't do **** like this.
User avatar #4 - grpeephole (07/10/2014) [-]
Believe or not... one of my teachers has had this happen.. and watches for it.

And that was at least 3 years ago when I was still in highschool. and i cant even remember what year we were told this.

So... Yes this has been done before... and yes Older teachers might know about it
