If that's what they taught you in school, then okay. But linguistically, homonyms and homophones are mutually exclusive categories.

Explain.
#183 to #178 - becauseyoutoldmeto (06/13/2014) [-]
Homonyms are words that are pronounced AND spelled identically, but they carry different meanings. For example, bear (animal) and bear (to bear arms).

Homophones are only pronounced identically, but they carry different spellings and meanings. For example, e.g. suite and sweet.

And just to add to the mix, homographs are spelled identically but have different spellings and meanings... e.g. lead (element) and lead (to lead a group).

KevinPutt is right, RWBY is very good. It was the first anime-type-anything that I've enjoyed. I was skeptical as **** , and the only reason I watched it at first was because I love Rooster Teeth, but then I accidentally watched the entire series in one sitting, then did so again the next night. Man, even the soundtrack is great, along with the comedy, and the action is top. I'm never going to deny that the animation can be a bit crappy, but I honestly could not give fewer ***** when the rest of the show is so immaculate

Nothing's wrong with CGI. You should see the action sequences in Red Vs. Blue.
After that you can say what you want.

RvB is good, because it's good CGI
Rwby's characters just seem strange and disproportionate. It's fine when not in fight scenes. It has a great sound track, I'll give it that, too. But at points it looks like Elder Scrolls levels of movement at points. It's a solid 6/10, nothing to get all hype for.
I watched all of it, so I did give it a chance.

Only the white one uses magic.
#73 to #42 - JustintheWaysian (06/11/2014) [-]
Technically they all do. While with some weapons, it may seem that they are mechanical/non-magical, they are still powered by Dust. It's all magic, it is just harness in different ways. Weiss uses Dust for her glyphs, Nora uses Dust for her hammergun's combustion, etc.
User avatar #180 to #4 - zomaru ONLINE (06/12/2014) [-]
I started watching and the story and characters are interesting, not bad at all, but that CGI is so distracting.

I don't actually mind Cena, he's quite old now with the constant gimmick of "cenwinslol" but he did the business well for several years, I just hope they don't replace him with someone like Daniel Bryan.

From my totally not biased opinion at all, honest I'm not a shield fan I will never say that again I'd say Ambrose would be a good face, he's one of the few stars that started in a literal slum and used it as inspiration to get to the top, his mic skills are great. His wrestling skill is erratic at the least but he can hold his own against most stars.
#122 to #118 - Lordfishwilly (06/11/2014) [-]
Ambrose is a good choice, I think he's great and I agree with everything you're saying, the only problem I have with Ambrose is he needs a new, better finisher and more signature moves that match his mental ring-style

And if he can deliver more promos like the one he gave on Raw last Monday it'd really let him stand out as one of the best guys on the mic, Rollins has been doing most of the talking for the Shield, Ambrose should get more mic time
#123 to #122 - shacmaster (06/11/2014) [-]
Yeah, I used to watch him while he called himself jon moxley, his promos were amazing, rather than the seth way of "u r gey lol" while sounding like he's got a gun pointed at his head

I like seth's in ring capability, his mic skills get improved, and deans finishers actually become finishers and their matches could be clashes of titans.
