If D-Pooly was packing 2 tons of force in his fists, he wouldn't need to bother snapping necks with fancy CQC shenanigans. His punches alone would shatter skulls or break spines.

That is 100% wrong. Deadpool's not superhuman. Let's say, he's below Batman, and Batman is below Cap.

so many things wrong with this
1. You're using a wiki as your primary source of information
2. Deadpool's never been shown to lift more than 800 lbs, while Cap's been shown to lift heavier than that
3. This is completely arbitrary, but I'm pointing out that the wiki says lbs, and lbs definitely does not equal tons. It says Deadpool can lift 2 tons, and Cap can lift 1200 lbs. Not 2000 and 1200 tons. That's ridiculous.

Now, let's talk about strength not in terms of numbers. Cap's knocked out the Hulk in a single punch. Has Deadpool ever done that? No. Can he? We'll never know unless it happens in the comics. Cap's strong enough to flip a car with one hand, but not strong enough to pick it up and throw it. Deadpool can technically almost lift a car, but wouldn't be able to do much with it if he was ever able to pick it up. He's too small. Strength isn't just derived from raw power, size comes into it as well. Deadpool may have the strength to lift 2 tons, but his size won't allow it. It'd crush him. Of course, he'd heal, but that's beside the point.

Marvel has an actual strength scale that they established not a fanbase. Doesn't matter what he's shown to have been lifting the writers have established that he lifts 2k lbs so he lifts 2k lbs

"Deadpool may have the strength to lift 2 tons, but his size won't allow it. It'd crush him."
Take it Like this. Can technically bench 2 tons.
Can pack a punch with at least half that force.
But when it comes to lifting things, it's not always strength, it's also size and shape.
And let's face it, most thing that was 2 tons are not gonna be shaped in a way favorable to Deadpool's ability to lift 2 tons.
#85 to #83 - gokusdog
Reply 0
(07/30/2014) [-]
What are you talking about size? If he has the muscular power to lift it then he can lift it size doesn't mean anything in relation to strength

also "His natural strength, agility and reflexes have been enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural limits of the human body.

Let me put it this way
By all means, I'm assuming you can lift 50 lbs, unless you're a twig
But if that 50 lbs is too long or oddly shaped, your own human shape prevents you from lifting that shape properly and limits your strength
If Deadpool was as strong as Spidey, a car wouldn't be a problem. Because his strength is enough that he doesn't have to worry about grip.
But he's not, and the size and shape of the object in question matters
And Deadpool's a fairly small guy, compared to most of the Marvel universe, being about the same size as Spiderman as he's able to wear his suit with little to no problem
that limits his strength even more when faced with large 2 ton objects

#91 to #89 - Vpirate

Technically, yes. I concede on that part.

But in practice, odds are he's not gonna be able to use that strength to his full potential, and Deadpool probably packs a punch with half the force he's technically able to lift, that's still less than Cap's.

So we're both right and both wrong.
Technically, Deadpool's stronger than Cap
But in practice Cap would be stronger than Deadpool

Also. "Superhuman Strength: Deadpool is rated as having a superhuman level of strength capable of lifting 2 tons on the Marvel Strength Scale."

But yeah, he is just your average human physical strength wise, hurr durr. Also, being able to lift 800lbs raw and toss it around is not the same as being able to lift it exhausting your entire strength - not dissing on Batman, different universe and all - and batman has a lot of other fantastic traits.

But you are way, way, way off regarding Deadpool mate.

Batman has no superpowers at all. "Deadpool is below Batman", you didn't say it in those words, but you said it.

And that's from the marvel strength scale, from marvel themselves, not a ******* wiki. It's not near-superhuman. He has super agility, endurance, resistance, reflexes (******* hell, do you know how dangerous Wade was before the x program?) and finally, strength. He also lives 800 years in the future and can live with just his head (I know those and healing factor is not relevant to strength, but he is in fact not your "peak human", he is super) - he just isn't Hulk super strong, or Superman strong.
