That's cool. As a science-fiction and fatasy writer, I love to look at the sciences of things like this, and think "How might a different creature function differently?"

One such creature was an alien whose fight-or-flight equivillent was to grow large spikes on many parts of their bodies. Sort of like how porcupines do.

I have no idea why, but I am terrified of the dark. I'll freeze up and take one step slowly after the other, feeling like something is going to eat me. I'm 19, I shouldn't be afraid of the dark.

My #1 fear is being stuck in a tight space, spiders and when you are standing high up and look down and there is nothing to support you.

Surprisingly, I am not that afraid of ghosts

I fear butterfly and moth. Especially the big one. If I see one on the ceiling or on the wall, it happened like time dilation, my instinct are screaming for me to run. That was when the damn things are resting motionless on the wall or ceiling, but when it took flight, well, my brain was screaming for me to run away.
I thought it was a nightmare I had as a child that led me to this fear, but now, I think its more like the way these insects fly than anything. It looks so unnatural. Bobbing up and down... and their big wing compared to their body... :|

Another fun fact. At birth, baby humans only have 2 fears. Loud noises, and falling. We learn the others as we age.
