Well In Lord of the Rings, Sauron lost his ring because someone cut off his fingers. Maybe Ceaseless lost his finger somehow, I mean for a demon it probably wasn't hard to do.

Since you can one shot the boss by making him leap to his death, I think he is pretty clumsy. I think that he accidentally dropped the ring into the lower levels of the demon ruins, and from the ring came the centipede demon.

A better question is how the Witch of Izalith gave birth to something that was constantly spewing lava out of its body. Think of how much that would hurt...

Mind you this is the same boss character that literally leaps to his own death at the start of the fight. In a souls game.

Simplifying the optimal strategy here, but all you have to do is run all the way back to the fog gate to the boss area. If you look carefully off the cliff, you'll see that the area Ceaseless is standing on stops at a point and drops off into a deeper chasm. Ceaseless' entire purpose at the moment is protecting his sister's corpse, which you just robbed for nice loot, he's going to desperately try to reach you and reclaim her clothes, which is why he goes so far as to jump off the cliff in a last ditch attempt. He grabs onto the ledge right next to you, and a few whacks of his hand with your weapons causes him to lose his grip and fall to his death.

Just make sure NOT!!!! to run behind the tower when getting back to the foggate. When I did he didnt jump after me, just spammed his giant breath attack.

You have to run all the way back to her body then run all the way back to the fog gate and he will follow you if you don't do this then he will spam long ranged fire attacks.

Pretty damn good, but the other two sisters actually became the two orbs that rest by the Bed of Chaos. That's why they give off the same colored protectoral shell as the pyromancy they were taught. Even in death they still do what they can to protect their mother.

Still, great comp, and I look forward to more.

any plans to do anything with Dark Souls 2 content?

There's a theory that it's the xanthous king. The weird tentacle monster on the wall in blightown is exactly the same shape as the xanthous crown, which originally had tentacles protruding in concept art. Xanthous king is also linked with pyromancy. He knows some of the original chaos pyromancy. The wall hugging thing in blightown is called "prince izalit" in the games files.

So it may be that the xanthous king was the father, and the wall hugger was a son. It's also though that xanthous king may have been the one to poison the great swamp, explaining his exile. He's in the painted world, which is where those which threatens gods are sent. See priscilla and her lifehunt ability.

That's pretty much the only possibility if they father is in-game. But it's still just a theory, and judging from the file name being "prince izalit" in game it's likely some content was cut before release.

Even medical conditions are hardcore in dark souls.
In the real world, "being born with a condition" means having a third nipple or something.
Iin DS, it means your skin seeps lava.

Actually, you can save him at Lost Izalith depending on how you follow through with the Chaos Eaters, killing all the Chaos Eaters at Lost Izalith without his help ends his storyline there and he gives you an item (forgot what it was).

So what made the Bed Of Chaos weak?
Because almost every Lord in the game was weakened by something, and that is how the undead was able to kill them.
Which is kind of sad because it shows how weak you truly are, fighting Lords who are weakened by time and despair.

So... incredibly late reply, but thought I should add my own two cents.

I think that BEING the Bed of Chaos is what made her weak. Gwyn and Nito in their prime couldn't be stopped, and the Witch of Izalith was no exception to that. But the Bed was kind of a twisted abomination that couldn't even act outside of its own room, and had two restraining bolts in the form of its daughters. I say it's most likely that the Bed itself was a huge downgrade, since her soul says it's still just as powerful now as it once was.

Bed of Chaos was such a well designed boss fight with great combat patterns and a pretty cool arena. It was a compelling and challenging boss, but fair in all ways

Lost Izalith was also very well designed and definetly didn't feel like a bad Doom mod or anything.
