That seems correct.
He has never encountered it with sound before. The negative could be "not heard without sound", which although grammatically incorrect is scientifically correct.
Changing only the word "without" doesn't turn it into a negative ("heard without sound", which is also impossible - perhaps this is the source of your confusion?).
If he watched versions without sound, he has "heard it without sound" (or more technically "not heard it") which should more grammatically be "viewed it" or "seen it" or "watched it" or "saw it" (without sound) perhaps, but his overall statement (he has not encountered one with sound previously) is correct.
He's not using infinitives incorrectly ( dictionary.cambridge.org/grammar/british-grammar/hear-see-etc-object-infinitive-or-ing ) so it seems sound (one pun in ten did).

In some cultures/communities/states/religions/laws, the Achievement of being born out of wedlock earns you the Title of "Bastard", which you can have floating above your head if you set that, in the Options.

Although mainly used for inheritance and Estate purposes ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legitimacy_ (family_law) ) it is also used (as seen above) as a targeted profanity (a 'curse').

My little joke [perhaps too little if it wasn't easily understood] was simply that anyone watching this video could possibly feel negativity at the stimulus of being 'called a bastard', if they were in reality, a bastard.
(The juxtaposition of someone being called a bastard abstractly, against actually existing in an illegitimate state, as a viewer)
