bought it a an auction....they said motor was shot(couldn't resist a 400 dollar truck with a great frame and body) so i bought it anyway. did a full tune wires ,distributor, tps sensor ect. and it fired right up.

>buys junk truck to use off road
>does nothing to the suspension or even the engine

was it really that junk of a truck if it needed no internal work?

Lift kit is suspension modification......
User avatar #20 to #11 - savagechode (04/19/2014) [-]
aside from tires rims and suspension i really only spent 1500 dollars just to make it look nice when its clean.
User avatar #21 to #11 - savagechode (04/19/2014) [-]

"Smoked headlights - $100"
A can of VHT costs $20 at Autozone.
Still a cool build, though. Keep this **** up, OP.

That's all fine and dandy until your transmission goes out on account that the stock dodge tranny sucks dick and can't support much aftermarket parts. That axle looks like it'd break if you were to do any crawling. SAS that bitch, build a tube bed, sell it as a truggy, then buy a toyota.
User avatar #16 to #15 - savagechode (04/19/2014) [-]
lol toyotas are the worst truck I've ever driven....trans is built axles are geared its all dandy.
User avatar #23 to #16 - manofbeardliness (04/19/2014) [-]
Toyota's a great, not the most low end torque, but damned if you can break them. I have a 98 Solid axle with 8 inches of lift.
User avatar #24 to #23 - savagechode (04/19/2014) [-]
sodas are just yodas, they can't even get out of there own way let alone lift with tires there doggin out even with regears

Can your Dodge do this?
Killing a Toyota

-__- you just showed me a video of body damage and some last truck was in hurricane sandy when it hit the jersey shore for 8 hours in water....cleared the cylinders and it fired up then i rolled it 3 times in the woods and it still worked. my new ruck has 220 thousand miles on the motor and still no taping or anything. do you have the diesel motor?
User avatar #28 to #26 - manofbeardliness (04/19/2014) [-]
I know someone with 360 on their tacoma, and it still runs strong. You can talk about the payload, safety, torque, and whatever you want. A dodge is a hauler, a Toyota is an off-road truck. You can do a hell of a lot more offroad, but you can't haul anywhere as much as a dodge.

truck was so fine before, destroyed it so you could break it in mud
#10 - anon (04/18/2014) [-]
No way! I'm doing something similar! Except I'm making mine to Show quality, it's a 30 year old Nissan truck that I'm rigging up to take mudding.

I know, mudding =/= show truck, but I want a nice truck
