That could actually be the solution as to the fact that icons are stored in the icon cashe for your computer, which means on some computers (like mine) the icon won't change until you reboot it (because that puts all the icons into the cashe including the new ones) or you can use a .bat file to reboot your icon cashe like I do

Don't want say he has a point but he has a point.
The fact that according to survey's most of us are 18-25 or somewhere around there.
We need to all start acting like the bigger man don't stoop down 9gag's level of immaturity.
I have no Idea what the main demographic for 9gag is but I'm guessing 13-16 at most.
However immaturity isn't just measured by age so you could be some 50 year old **** for all we know.

For those that are having trouble, you can't just rename an image into ICO and it will magically change file-type it doesn't work like that.

It means exactly what it says, its not an icon, it's an image, saved as an icon file, but not an icon, did you try using the website link?

It worked but it doesn't look all slick like it does in the content. It's just a box with the image in the middle of it. Is there any way to fix that?

Probably means when you saved the image you didn't save the transparent background so it's put a box around it. post a screenshot and I can say for sure.

You sure? I know with vista you can do that. if you have a jpg, but you want it to be saved as a PNG all you do is rename the end of it from .jpg to .png

Most programs are smart enough to actually read the file and not believe the extension, after all it's just for association.

You can just download the .ico file from deviantart or something if you're too lazy (that's the best place to find icons for me) and just apply those. I like the detail, so i keep the icons on the "largest" setting

I have an icon folder filled with over 500 of icons, mostly of which are anime, and i download around 20 more each season (the ones i watch). I usually download them from deviantart. If i can't find any that i like i try other icon sites. If all else fails, google images.
