Well, since it often is the user who fails, i guess the 1% is human stupidity. Hard to cure that one.

That percentage also account for when the condom breaks.

Medfag here
actually, they work only in the 70% of the time, only if you use them correctly
#165 to #151 - mericabitches (10/01/2013) [-]
Well you are clearly lying about being a "medfag" because they do work 99% of the time.
User avatar #196 to #165 - letstakedrugs (10/02/2013) [-]
It's your choice to believe me or not, I'm just saying I'm sure that condoms only work on the 70% if you use them correctly and only birth control pills can work in the 99% of the cases. Therefore, the ideal way of birth control is the mix of condoms and birth control pills.
User avatar #167 to #4 - ningyoaijin (10/01/2013) [-]
When stored and used properly, most condoms are perfectly safe, but they're legally obliged to have 99% labelled on them because some people don't understand that they don't understand how to use them.

Boeing? as the air plane producers? what are they doing with lasers?
#120 to #5 - therealsupanova (10/01/2013) [-]
Yes, Boeing as in the Aerospace defense manufacturer. Probably something to do with defense.

If i had to guess__
#226 to #5 - anon (10/02/2013) [-]
Did you know that Coors (the brewery) also has a high tech ceramics department? I buy some laboratory supplies from them.
User avatar #10 to #5 - respectyourmom (10/01/2013) [-]
boeing does waaaaaay more than just airplanes and lasers. they are a gov contracted millitary defense company. their airplane division is one small part of a huge company
User avatar #7 to #5 - DmOnZ (10/01/2013) [-]
Boeing is one of the biggest military tech producers in the world, I'd be more surprised if they weren't working on a giant ass laser.
#8 to #7 - felixjarl ONLINE (10/01/2013) [-]
How was i not aware of this?

Thank you kindly sir.
User avatar #9 to #8 - DmOnZ (10/01/2013) [-]
Meh, most people think of Boeing as the Passenger Jet company cause that's where pretty much all of their advertisement budget goes to cause there's not much point advertising mil tech to civilians. The same thing goes for other companies like General Electric and Airbus.
User avatar #116 to #8 - twentytwelve (10/01/2013) [-]
To be honest I thought that was a threat to their competition..
#133 to #7 - livinglegacy (10/01/2013) [-]
Why would they make that? You'd have a ****** time using your toilet if you had a giant ass-laser.

Also, it's quite cheap compared to other cable deals. 1000/1000 Megabits per second plan for $70 a month.

only problem is the initial cost for Google. The profits will eventually outweigh that by far, but they can't expand as rapidly as we would all like.

and damn, that's a pretty good deal
User avatar #232 to #64 - bookyle (10/02/2013) [-]
I don't think their goal is to expand everywhere. Their goal is to make other ISP companies step up their game if they still want to be in the market. This way they won't have to spend so much
User avatar #238 to #232 - pokemonstheshiz (10/02/2013) [-]
but to do that, they have to expand to more cities to really put a dent in
User avatar #240 to #238 - bookyle (10/02/2013) [-]
yes of course. Like sprinkles on a cup cake. Still faster than out right coat the entire country

i have 150 mps download rate and i pay like 60 euros a month
but i got 150 tv channels with it and a mobile phone and that , so i dunno but i think its still expensive
User avatar #128 to #124 - pokemonstheshiz (10/01/2013) [-]
I barely use tv, and I think there's some pretty cheap services you can employ to let you watch tv with you internet. If you have a smart tv, and no home phone, then you're making out like a bandit
And this is like 8 times better

if bionic body parts are cheaply available with great functions (maybe 200 yrs from now) I wonder how many people will trade their real arms/legs/eyes for one

Don't think it will be that long, technology grows exponentially, not linearly, so in 20 years we could be talking about that.
