I agree with your point for the most part, but I know at least personally if I hadn't had gay marriage shoved in my face for like the last 10 years I wouldn't have ever posted this and would have just been like "some guys like other guys? can doctors fix that?"

They don't seem to mind atheists getting married, they obviously don't care about the "religious sanctity" of it

I dont get the problem. Gay people want equality. Its marriage...not gay marriage not straight marriage...just marriage. Everyone should have the right to marry the person they love. Love should be celebrated not shamed. There is so much violence and hatred and evilness in this world that when two people want to get married it should be celebrated no matter what sex the two people are as long as they are both consenting legal age adults. If your religion is against gay marriage then there is something wrong with your religion NOT with the two people in love. Personally, as a straight woman I hope to marry someday and it will not be in a church as I refuse to go to an extravagant building where sheep worship a deity that needs to take attendance, give money to an already incredibly rich dangerous cult. I have no problem with faith but organised religion is a dangerous game to be involved in. Equality for all, get rid of organised religions. Simples

I vote we don't give anyone anything either way until they decide what they want. Personally I am against giving gays anything because they already took away other peoples rights. The pastor at my nearby church was a great man, gave to charity, volunteered, always preached tolerance, even when someone disagreed with you. A year or so back a gay couple asked him to marry them, and he told them and the congregation(and my grandparents who go) that he was not willing to do so because i went against his beliefs, but he fully supported them as a civil couple and was very polite about the whole thing. They sued him for discrimination. He had to sell his car, his church, and his house to pay the full amount owed. So the way I see it, they denied him his right to freedom of religion, so **** them and their right to marriage.

Personally I am against giving black people anything because they already took away other people's rights. A guy at my school got mugged by a whole bunch of them.

Personally I am against giving women anything because they already took away other people's rights. Don't you remember Bloody Mary?

Personally I am against giving Christians anything because they already took away other people's rights. I mean seriously. The Spanish Inquisition AND the Crusades? Terrible people, the lot of them.

whatever works but honestly "marriage" is just simply a title,i just believe its more about not being discriminated against and equality.i think its absolute retardation that you cant marry because marriage is sacred and it cant be tarnished by union of same sex partners.however homosexuals fighting for marriage is also stupid since they are already together and a paper wont make them anymore together.

Also, NJ has legalized gay marriage from what I heard.
