then why are there shipping containers everywhere if it wasnt a shipping container. Also the explosion happened at a large port, no reason dangerous chemicals couldn't be there...
Lol "stay where are you, we will be there to help" - chines govt as they seal off the zonr and begin ordering body bags and giant robots to clean up the mess.
You mean the picture OP used is fake? And that's the reason Kibble said "it's fake." Dude, no one gives a **** about the stupid pictures. The reason this is crazy is because he was talking about causing explosions in China before it happened. The way you prove this is fake is by showing that he posted that after the events happened instead of before.
It's not even the communism, as a whole China has always been obsessed with saving face. They're gonna lowball this in an effort to salvage whatever they think their image is.
Yeah, just from the size of the explosion, you can tell it was more than 50 killed. The explosions were larger than skyscrapers, not just the clouds. Everybody in the immediate area is without a doubt dead just from the blastwave, then people hit by debris, then add in that apparently there's chemicals involved.
this explosion was equivalent to 21 tonnes of tnt, Little boy (bomb dropped on Hiroshima) was 714 times larger (15,000 tonnes of TNT equivalent) the largest nuclear bomb ever detonated, the Tsar bomba was nearly 2.4 MILLION times more powerful (50,000,000 of TNT equivalent)
"Modern tactical nuclear warheads have yields up to the tens of kilotons, or potentially hundreds, several times that of the weapons used in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki." this was about 1000-10000 times smaller than a tactical nuke.
This was the first official word, estimates by people who did some calculations based on explosion size, distance and such are placing it at about 1.5 kiloton. Average tactical nukes are built to take out military outposts and such, their average yield is 0.1 kiloton, smallest ever made is 0.01 kt. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Crockett_ (nuclear_device)
a 0.021KT bomb would create a 20m wide fireball, and cause buildings to collapse and 3rd degree burns up to a ~150m radius. Don't forget that the size of the fireball in china would have been larger due to the explosion causing flammables to ignite. 21t seems a fair ammount
Nuclear devices also explode in air to cause more wide spread damage, in case of ground explosion force just goes upwards. The earthquake that the bomb caused was equalent to half a ton of tnt. Also The causes are still not confirmed. There's too much loose ends everywhere to actually say what happened. But even so, 21 tonnes of tnt is more than smaller tactical nukes. And as i've said, that's other people calculating not me, I wont get my arse and focus on some calculations just to prove something + I'm too lazy to dig deeply into research atm. We'll probably know exact yields, casualty counts and such in a week or so. And probably even who's "did this". I've learnt alot from media... and that's never to listen to media espacially when things are heated up, they say so many things that just wont add up so it's kinda up to us what to belive and what not. As it is now, I wont say you're wrong or right because i'm not an explosive experts or anything like that. Nontheless, I'm glad this happened at night since it reduced casualties by a lot. Ofc it would be best if it wouldn't happen at all.
you link the smallest, with a yield of 10-20t, very close to the minimum practical size and yield for a fission warhead, which it is equivalent to, most are 1KT Plus
I linked the smallest but according to what i've read was 10 times stronger than this smallest thing on average. Also in the video I have no absolute perspective on explosion size. also I'm sharing this thing with you since it's friggin awsome. usually band brand beers sucks *cough iron maiden* but this one is amazing XD
I can't find that statistic site anymore. However I think I know how they've caluclated it to be 100 tons. There were 2100 Davy Crockett's produced and probably some other smaller artillery/mine nukes were mass produced as well, lowering the average per warhead. Per type it's probably somewhere betwen 10-100kt.
This is the heat of the moment we are seeing here, and if all ******* hell was breaking loose outside my window like that I would probably break into an insanity laughter as well.
there's a point when **** hits the fan so hard that you just cant even comprehend it and it makes you laugh.
I thought the small explosion at the very start was the end of it. Maybe a couple more small explosions like that.
I did not expect this.
This is...this is horrifying.
