I uploaded this as a comment, but I think it deserves to be content of it's own. Anyone hating on me for posting my work should know that I could not give less of a ****. I post for the people who want to see my work, not for the people who don't.
Last summer I received this message:
"Dear Jack. I've always been absolutely baffled at your artwork. Myself, I have always wanted to be someone like you; to have artistic abilities beyond comprehension, but I've never been able to achieve that. I just want you to know that you have helped me in my everyday life. You see I am just another kid dying of cancer and my 17th birthday is this Friday coming up. But ever since I was told I'd die within a year, your art has helped me through my depression. You give me the hope that I've always aspired for. And I thank you for that. It means a lot to me. Thank you. Whisper Stark"
Somewhat taken aback by this strangers words, I decided to return his kindness. Many thanks to Lilla le Marchant who gave me the concept for this piece, which I want to dedicate to Whisper (bulkheadshot). I have made this sculpture in his name so that, by spreading it across the internet, he can be remembered by as many people as possible. The piece itself remains unimportant - what matters is the story of a young boy who is being unfairly taken by something that afflicts millions of people across the world. I urge you, please, to share this photo on facebook, email it to family and show it to friends. Also, if you really want to show some heart... please text BEAT to 70099 to donate £2 to cancer research. It may not be a huge amount from one person, but everyone together can make a huge difference.
Whisper is actually recovering now, against all odds, and I am hugely proud of him for pulling through this. **** cancer. You're the ******* boss.
