When rabbit died my sister cried and my mom made that weird cry that sounds like a laugh which just caused me to laugh and look like an insensitive backpassage which I am but they don't need to know that.

Haha. How cute ^^
We got a tie for our cat for thanksgiving and christmas. We "had" to because my step fathers mother HATES cats. So we wanted him to look "spiffy". lol. If you turned it around, he would fix it. Was totally adorable.

As someone who's had cats pretty much all their life, I'll say this: Have faith.

Inside cats will be prone to explore their surrounding areas, and even outdoor cats might wander far for as much as a week or two and not return. However, they oftentimes come back just as you've given up hope and think they're gone forever. It's just a cat thing apparently to go off on some Self-Discovery Journey or something.

you're cat's probably fine. If you've taken good care of it, it'll know where home is and it'll come back.

Thanks man.

Sadly I have lost a cat before. We had a cat that ran away when we were living in another house and we were moving from the house right when it ran. We frantically looked everywhere. Now that you say it can take more than a week, I have the really awful thought of him coming to the door of our house that we moved out of. I can't stop thinking about it now.

Sorry to hear that, mate. It's always sad to see an animal go, but loose ends are one of the worst things in the world. I wish I could give you some more concrete answers on that. Sadly, that thought is entirely possible-- But one can never know for sure. I have no idea how long ago that was, so I won't say much on the matter, but I'm sorry to hear that.

Take heed, however.

Oftentimes these excursions may have a tendency to take something of a toll on their health. They'll come back pretty skinny, so be prepared for that. Females will almost always come back pregnant if they're not fixed. And when my cat did this, he came back and seemed to have gotten torn up by something in such a way that his fur started falling out around his chest and the wound never healed. He wound up dying a couple months back because we couldn't afford to take him to the vet.

So just be prepared for the care that you might have to put into it when it comes back. It'll come back if you've been taking care of it-- But you might need to take care of it a little more for the trip.
