I read the how stuff works explanation and that seems retarded to me. It basically says if you dig a big enough hole you lower gravity. It's not like gravity works in vertical columns proportional only to the mass directly below you...

Not only that, but really every step you take basically has a different, albeit incredibly small, change in gravity. If there was some kind of gravitational phenomena on Earth, like the idea that water spins depending on the hemisphere, or that water flows upwards in certain gravitational 'null zones' is just a bunch of people not realizing how gravity works. In that it just accelerates objects downwards to their lowest potential energy. Which we can mathematically describe by a formula (G*m*M)/r^2 which pretty much says the only things that matter are mass and distance from said mass, which neither noticeably changes on the face of the Earth.

Canada has been one of my favorite countries since I was in 3rd grade,

one day in Freedom Class I sat down and thought: "You know, no one ever talks about Canada, no wars, no big issues, they are just there... Canada must be awesome."

Ever since I've wanted to visit their fabled rivers of maple syrup

The closest equivalent, at least in California, is a required semester each of Economics (read: "Capitalism Good, Communism Bad") and Political Science (read: "American Government, or why our Congress is full of morons").

For the love of God, stay away from Ontario and BC, its not better than America and Stephen Harper is making it worse.

Vancouver is literally, one of the most expensive places to live.
And the people are genuinely the most laziest They have no initiative whatsoever, they bitch and moan about Stephen Harper and Christie Clark but don't do anything about even they could. and self-concerned scum I have ever seen, no one would give two ***** if you were lying the floor bleeding to death, all you will get is a bunch of asian people recording you.
I;ve been living in that area all my life and I can say, I am glad when the megaquake comes and wrecks downtown.
The only reason I am still here is Loved ones, and that its the best place to work on a acting career.
TL;DR, if you ever come to Canada, stay the hell away from the cities and stick with tiny towns like Hope or Kamloops, Stephen Harper is a bastard.

Actually, Canada Post replies to each letter sent by children across Canada. You sent it to the north pole, postal code H0H 0H0, and they have some prewritten letter, slap your name on it, and send it back to your address.
