The American who made the cake had it so it looked like the Canadian flag on the outside, but when they cut into it, it was the US flag. It's a troll cake. Moron.

Himaruya made the first webcomics while studying in New York and the anime director is a guy called Bob, so that's debatable.

Well technically, I guess you could say that it was. The guy who drew the original webcomic (now a 6 volume, on going manga) was studying in America at the time he wrote it.

Hetalia: Axis Powers (I'll give you a heads up if you're a sub watcher; the sub is annoying as **** because everyone has verbal tics, which is the Japanese equivalent of an accent I suppose. The dub just gives everyone an accent based on pop cutlure- Britain's is based off Stewie Griffin, and Russia from the Rocky movies. It has fantastic outtakes. And America is voiced by a super saiyan, which is about right. And the manga references things like Justin Beiber and South Park.)

You mean in the War of 1812? When we fought the British to end British regulations and acquire British land? When the British burned Washington? When all enemies were allied with the British? When even some Canadians helped the severely undeveloped United States military fight against the BRITISH?

People need to remember that Canada isn't just a hat or that the USA isn't just the underwear. We're a big snugly-warm one piece pajama suit.

I thought it was because the British and French were press ganging American sailors (freedom-sailors) and making them fight in the Napoleonic war.

(Or was that part of what you were saying anyway?)

The one thing I never understood about people bitching about the war of 1812, is people forgetting that the U.S. burnt down Canada's parliament.

so, we are making progress, I believe that the Americans both won and lost, but still had a better victory than loss, we lost on the fact that citizens were not all wine and roses about the draft that occurred, or all of the war crimes committed, but they did out damage them.
