But Boogie once again is speaking the truth. The beautfil truth. I love gaming, I always have. When I was younger I was really shy. I was also an only child, so I used to play alot by myself in my garden.
My first game was "Wario" for my "Gameboy" and I met my best friend when I started playing "Pokemon Silver" back in second grade. I got a lot of friends through video games. They are an important part of my life and always will be. I hope as many people as possible to feel the same joy I have had using this media. No matter what gender, color, etc..
If you play video games you're okay in my book. But if you call me a misogynistic, racist asshole just for enjoying my hobby and talking out against corrupt journalists. I personally think you need to reevaluate your life or at least take a moment to reflect on your statement.
Gamers are not here for the pleasure of the gaming journalists, they are here for the pleasure of us. To help us keep up with the industry and learn about upcoming games. Not preach about how evil we are when we aren't. When people talk about equality as far as I am concerned they are preaching to the choir.

Oh.... oh dear god...
Let's get the obvious stuff out the way. I am the asshole he is talking about. Which is why I can't say i'm even remotely affected by the whole journalists vs gamers debate.
The REAL issue here, is why all of a sudden the media has shifted focus from video games causing problems, to video gamers causing problems.
Because in the past, companies like Rockstar and Activision and EA were the names, the head honchos of gaming, and when a violent game came out, they were big tobacco, a faceless corporation, manufacturing evil propaganda to manipulate and abuse our children.
But now, or rather, since Jonathan Blow's very successful game "Braid" the indie market has been flooded, with creators, complete with faces and names. And when creators like that asshat phil fish, voices an opinion on twitter, journalists flock because he made one game that caught people's attention, and his meltdowns are good for business.
Now when any indie dev has something to say, off to twitter they pop, get a few retweets, bang a journalist, and get a little headline on a review site, all of a sudden the indie dev is the voice of a generation.
Anita sarkeesian did actually have a good point or two, about the lack of female protagonists, but therein lies the issue. Ubisoft was getting flack, because they didn't make a female character for the upcoming Assassins creed game.
The idea that a game will somehow lose value because it doesn't have the option to switch gender is just as sexist.
Since then however, big companies aren't being targeted, it's the gamers themselves, because they keep buying these games. GTA has no playable female characters, that.... somehow makes the game worse? because people bought it despite that fact?
Movies, tv shows, books, all the most popular ones have males as protagonists. Go ******* whine to the tv watchers, and movie goers and book readers.
oh wait, not as many whiny movie producers or authors, to cash in on. Eat a dick.
