You know like, I actually think that the employees at Bethesda are super anxious right now actually. I mean, it looks good and is very nice and stuff, but if something goes wrong or the game doesn't live up to what it's supposed to be it'll probably be the company's biggest failure in history. The the triple A industry's titanic. I really hoe it goes well though. It looks like it will.

It's going to be the same smooth parkour and action/stealth game that the first was. That trailer was meant for folks who've played the first game. They mentioned using a "Nex Gen" (I consider it an updated) version o fthe "Creation Engine", which Bethesda wrote Skyrim in. This is the first time that Bethesda's seperate series' are going to have the same, or a similar, engine. I could concievably see someone incorporating Shouts and various weapons from Skyrim into Fallout 4, given enough time with the G.E.C.K. that Bethesda will inevitably release with Fallout on the PC.

Payday 2 has its bugs, and there are some things that i would like to see them develope (like a legitamte 7 day heist, a better anticheat system, and tweaking stealth gameplay a bit). but Overkill has done an excellent job with the content that they have released for Payday 2.

Sucks that nintendo had the weakest event, with the only intesting games being starfox zero and that mario and luigi paper mario game. The puppets were amazing though. And what about the NWCs? Those were amazing, and they revealed Earthbound Begginings. The Nintendo word championships stole the show for me.

Like i said, their press conference was **** , showing only thing we already knew about aside from starfox zero. Their highlights were during the nintendo world championships, with the tournament and the earthbound trailer. Sony had the best press conference i believe, because of shenmue 3 alone, but the ff7 remake was great for those who desperately wanted one. Square enix only had me at KH3, but they barely showed anything new other than sora's new design and the tangled world. My point is, there are games that deserve as much attention as fallout 4 does.

The original game getting an overhaul to make it approachable after all this time. That's mind blowing.
In fact I wouldn't trust modern Square Enix to not **** up a reimagining. They've become saturated by awkward one sided characters and wishy washy plot lines for years.
Maybe after the remake they'll remember how to put some real depth and emotion into a world again.

And i half agree on the kingdom hearts thing, but not completely. The main series games had enjoyable combat, especially kh2, but i didn't like the portable ones because they messed with the formula too much and made things weird even birth by sleep . Really, i enjoy the main games for the fun and challenging combat, but i don't enjoy the series based on nostalgia.

Ah, fair enough. Personally, I love the lore and setting. A lot of people really love the idea of v.a.t.s and the intricacies of the game. That said I think the other games deserve praise too, there were a lot of cool games to be shown/teased and I hope some of that makes it to the front as well, but you cant really blame people for getting hyped for a game they love.

Cool games, no doubt, but MS announced backwards compatibility, Fallout mods, a new controller and Hololens, plus all the games they announced are coming this year, whereas all Sony's stuff is for 2016.

I watched an analysis the other day, that said that since there is prewar assets in Fallout 4, from the prewar prologue, then people may create an entire prewar Boston mod. I think that is certainly worth seeing.

The backwards compatibility was also only on select games, and is something the system should have had from the start. Also Halo is slowly turning into CoD (BUT IN SPAEC) and GoW seems, from what I've seen, to be pretty much like Mass Effect but with a worse story. But I can't really comment much on GoW because I've never played one.

None of Sony's big games are exclusives because MS actually pays developers. Announcing a game's Kickstarter at E3 is embarrassing but it's something Sony actually did. amusingusername ONLINE (06/17/2015) [-] Microsoft had some pretty cool stuff, I liked that HoloLens specially. I still think Bethesda had the upper hand here though. They had a couple of very loved titles with a loyal fanbase. This means that most of their crowd, knew exactly what it wanted was there for a very specific reason. Bethesda was aware of that and focused on satisfying those wishes that the crowd had, you could see they practically begged and shouted for fallout once Pete Hines jokingly said it was done and there was no sight of Fallout. That's why Bethesda's presentation was such a success.
Microsoft's presentation however was just a bunch of projects they were working on, people didn't really know what to expect and were there mostly for the curiosity of what Microsoft was up to.
Then again, this is all up to perspective. Bethesda's presentation was a ride from the beginning to the end for me, but someone who isn't a fan of Doom, Dishonored or Fallout probably wouldn't have found it as awesome as me.

DOOM and Dishonored were both Hell-a on point, impressing me greatly

FFVII remake.
If you haven't played FFVII before you won't understand, but I'd recommend playing the remake then because it had a huge diverse world that had a lot of interweaving and meaningful story in it and a soundtrack that sucked you into the game. Plus how many rpg's get followed by a decent movie sequel.
Though the announcement was only a promise cgi video. They've only committed to
remaking it. It'll likely take them a while.

captainamelia (06/17/2015) [-] I think it's going to be a great game. I mean they even put in things that were mods in newvegas (maybe fallout 3 too, but i don't have fallout 3 on pc). Like wasteland defense (building a base and fighting raiders), JIP command and control (giving orders to companions in real time). Maybe powered power armor, seeing as in the game play we see him push what looks like an mfc into the back of the armor might just be a release hatch . The only thing that worries me is how easy/hard modding will be.I mean, something that was great about not having a voiced protagonist was making voiced quests was much easier. Hopefully we'll be able to keep playing after the story is done, and just build more in our settlements. Otherwise it'll become dull pretty quick.

xxTheJesterxx (06/17/2015) [-] I'm not really concerned about how the mods will turn out with a voiced protagonist, although I really would prefer it if they hadn't done so. It just feels weird having a pre-assigned voice to the character. As for the story, Fallout 3 (pre-Broken Steel) and FNV both ended if you did the last quest, so if they did it again, you could just save right before the end and do whatever, right? Although I still think it's dumb that they like to make it end with the last quest so much.
I'd also really like to know how they're going to be expanding the PC mods into consoles, I just don't understand how that could work well... but hey, whatever, knock yourselves out

Just seems like it would trivialize the settlement building if you spend 20 hours on it just to have everything be wiped. Especially when building bases to defend from raiders is a perfect thing to do after you finish the game.
