This will blow your mind but the films weren't trying to do this kind of costume. Like, at all.

You have no idea. My aunt and uncle make things like this on a professional level, I don't know if they sell them or not. That's my uncle wearing a Skeksis costume at Dragoncon this year, they won best in show for the friday costume contest. He also has a scout trooper armor set and he works at a Renaissance fair with one hell of a costume.scontent-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/1234707_508399755910125_1464515026_n.jpg

That's Scarecrow from the games.
He looks minimalistic in the movie, because that's what he looks like. He doesn't have a full costume.
#4 to #2 - ravertoby (10/13/2013) [-]
Actually, the one in the game is closer to how the real Scarecrow looks like.

<---Is Scarecrow in the comics. If you don't know comic book Scarecrow, that black silhouette is a scythe, his secondary weapon over the fear toxin.
User avatar #9 to #1 - thumbsdenied (10/13/2013) [-]
i think the movie was based more on what the villains would accuratly be if batman would exist in our world, not exaggerated like they would be in cartoons and games. also think this is the reason why they didnt use mutated supervillains like clayface or poison ivy
User avatar #13 to #9 - ravertoby (10/13/2013) [-]
They might have been able to pull off making Ivy more realistic. She could use an advanced growth serum to cause plants to grow rapidly allowing her to break into banks and things evil in nature?
User avatar #48 to #13 - thumbsdenied (10/13/2013) [-]
i cant really see plant growing serums working, but i can see her as a nature activist with biological weapons and venom gasses. lets say a eco terrorist
User avatar #50 to #48 - ravertoby (10/13/2013) [-]
Ooooo that is even better. And at her lair she could have like the plants that make it and some big venus fly traps.

Michael Myers is probably one of the best costumes for Halloween, because he's scary as **** as it is, and he's not overdone/expected like Freddy or Jason. Do what suitandtie suggested and be Comedian for ComiCon or any other convention you feel like going Or do it for Halloween next year. I'd love to see an awesome Comedian cosplay.
User avatar #44 to #42 - yojo (10/13/2013) [-]
Actually it was because I'm visiting my friend at UNC for halloween and halloween is a big thing there so there's a ******** of costume contests and parties so I just wanted to impress.

User avatar #36 to #33 - suitandtie (10/13/2013) [-]
I have no clue where you'd get the stuff. Maybe start working on something like this in preparation for next year, and this year, do what the other person mentioned, and be Wreck-It Ralph. That's definitely a simpler costume to put together. And then bam...now you got two years of costumes to look in

Awesome. But here are the reasons why that may not work
1. I can't grow facial hair like that, yo
2. I don't really feel like shaving my head, and a bald cap would not work my hair is fairly long
3. Confidence issues. Literally every picture I see of him, he is shirtless. While I am fairly skinny, I don't feel comfortable with my shirt off.

You maybe just need to be more confident and less sensitive or you are going to cause a tough life for yourself.
#116 to #115 - drainbramage (10/15/2013) [-]
He's put effort into a hobby and you're trying to **** on it, and as someone who follows/participates in cosplay, I know that cosplay builds confidence, until someone like you gets involved. If you think someone is a loser because of their hobby, then you are in fact the loser.
#117 to #116 - kez (10/15/2013) [-]
Nah.

If someones hobby was to go to the city centre, strip off and jack off while ******** on pictures of starving children from africa. You would think it was ******* weird, cos it is, and would judge him.

But by your logic its his hobby he has put time and effort in So you are the loser for judging him.
#118 to #117 - drainbramage (10/15/2013) [-]
Sure, if you want to be one of those dicks that has to bring in the extremes of every situation to support a point with no volume.

Unlike your example, cosplaying isn't immoral, and I doubt something like that would develop into a hobby, since you have one shot, then you go to jail.
#119 to #118 - kez (10/15/2013) [-]

People look down on you and think less of you if you cosplay.
