I don't care what anyone says, Children Of Men is one of the best films i've seen and the one shot sequence was just outstanding

Children Of Men is quite possibly my favourite film of all time. I normally hate movies with Clive Owen in them, but this is a brilliant exception

I'd say my favorite scene is when the baby is crying and everything stops. I felt that was super intense.

the filmography in that film is fantastic

Yeah, Pandorum was an awesome movie.
It was creepy, cool-looking, it had a decent twist, and it didn't end on a completely-depressing note like most movies.

I highly recommend it. It's great.

Why are people thumbing you down? It is. It's made by the guys who made the Matrix trying to get their foot in the door again.

pandorum was pretty good

Snowpiercer had an amazing idea for it's movie, but they made a ****** ending and took the easy way out of the plot

Exactly how I feel about The Cabin in the Woods.

That movie is just satiric comedy, and is meant to take the piss out of cliched horror films. Why would you ask for a great plot or remarkable filmography out of a movie that is made as a joke?

The "idea" for the movie is amazing imo. The way they went about is not.

Cloud atlas and snowpiercer are some of my favorite movies and not that popular as well.

Cloud Atlas is terrible.
It's just a bunch of mediocre short stories stitched together with a stupid "reincarnation" plot to act deep.

I was on a long distance flight once, the in flight movie selections had a great range and I ended up watching Silver Linings Playbook, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Children of Men in that order. The first two were Oscar winners but IMO Children of Men blew them out of the competition. What a movie.

>Eye-popping special effects.

How's that a good thing? I'd like to keep my eyes, thank you very much.

Outlander was fun and original.
Sunshine is really great.
Pandorum is one of my favorite movies ever.

I think one of the best sci-fi movies ever that got totally slept on was Oblivion, with Tom Cruise. For some reason it never really got popular, but it is one of my all time favorite movies. The story, acting, effects, cinematography, and especially the soundtrack were outstanding.

I suggest this one. It' not all sci-fi but it is worth the watch!

So you went and posted the greatest movie of all time, well done OP.

Pandorum and Children of Men are awesome, I highly recommend watching them.
Cloud Atlas was horrible, I'm guessing the book it was based on actually descibed the connection of the reincarnation plot, but the movie just skips over it so it feels like nothing is connected.
Snow Piercer wasn't that good. Lots of plot holes and a horrible ending.

Serbia mentioned, i feel proud.

Aeon Flux is a favorite of mine.

Anyone else remember this old ass anime movie about Androids and **** , Metropolis was it?

So, i've actually seen a few of these, and i'd say that your recommendation seems pretty sound. Though, I'm gonna say that my favorite of the list is either Sunshine or Snowpiercer, leaning slightly more towards Snowpiecer. I liked the whole concept of infinity and stability reiterated throughout the film while actually delivering on some pretty tense moments, like the fight in the traincar when it goes in the tunnel. ******* . Specatacular. Sunshine had a fun sci-fi premise that i liked with a decent, diverse cast. The only thing i had against it was a kinda predictable twist, though the same could be argued of Snowpiercer.
Fun fact, Ed Harris wasn't the first choice for his part in Snowpiercer, Dustin Hoffman was the director's first choice.
User avatar #48 - bodeejus (06/16/2015) [-]
I personally disliked Snowpiercer. I guess the only thing I can say is the cast was decent and it was visually stunning, but just the whole movie just seemed to go nowhere and I really felt no remorse for any of the characters that died.

Zero Theorem was pretty good, but very convoluted. But I am just such a fan of Terry Gilliam and Christoph Waltz so I may just be biased.

Never saw any of the others but they seem interesting.
